Among other unconventional products from Xiaomi, this time we have an intelligent toilet that doesn’t need to be flushed.
Besides that, it also offers several other interesting features and a much lower price than the competition.
A toilet that does everything for you
The new Xiaomi toilet comes with many sensors that can activate smart functions. The main highlight of this toilet is especially its self-flushing feature.
Since the toilet itself doesn’t have a water tank, it’s connected directly to the water source, including the sewage system. But what makes this toilet special is something completely different.
Intelligent sensors can detect when you’ve approached the toilet or when you’ve sat down on it. Thanks to these sensors, the toilet can open and close by itself. But that’s not all.
Using motion and pressure detection, the toilet can also flush itself. If the sensors register that you’ve moved away from the toilet or have stood up from it, flushing is triggered.
Of course, this feature is fully customizable, so you can decide when the toilet should start flushing on its own. The intelligent system also includes antibacterial disinfection.
Other features include heating the seat itself, as well as a bidet that, when needed, slides out from the toilet’s structure. Using another intelligent sensor, it can also aim the injection point.
On the toilet’s panel there’s also a small LED display, which is fully touch-enabled. With it, you can control the toilet’s functions such as the above-mentioned seat heating or monitoring the room’s ambient temperature.
Compact and durable
The toilet has a simple design and a classic white color, so it fits perfectly into any home. Its dimensions are fairly compact at 68 x 44.3 x 39 cm. The toilet’s weight comes in at 35 kg.
The entire construction is made of porcelain combined with ABS plastic, known mainly for its durability. There’s also a special surface treatment that enables easier cleaning of the toilet and greater resistance to soiling.
Cheaper than the competition
Xiaomi priced the toilet at 1,999 Chinese yuan, which is equivalent to €249 / 295 USD. For the version with a controller and sterilizer, it comes out to €349.
The competition for toilets of this type usually targets the €500 threshold. In this case, then, it’s a very good deal. Currently, the toilet is available only on Xiaomi Youpin, and availability from international sellers is not expected.
