The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is constantly planning new smartphones. The latest leak reveals that it’s preparing several high-performance models with integrated Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. processors.
New Xiaomi smartphones with Snapdragon processors
Only recently, we may have seen a delay in the delivery of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G due to the unavailability of Snapdragon 780G processors. Earlier leaks speculated that several devices with the Snapdragon 778G processor would end up on the market because of this. That could become reality for at least one of the pair of planned devices.
According to the latest information, Xiaomi has two smartphones in the pipeline that it plans to release in the near future. However, we only know their code names for now: „Vili“ and „Lisa.“
A model with a flagship Snapdragon 888 5G processor
The „Vili“ nickname device was already revealed on the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) website in the USA. This smartphone should even offer a flagship Snapdragon 888 5G processor with eight cores clocked up to 2,84 GHz. The processor is also paired with an Adreno 660 graphics chip and a fast Snapdragon X60 5G modem (up to 7,5 Gbps).
Other specs should include an AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. However, we still don’t know whether it’s a fixed or dynamic refresh rate.
The mid-range will offer Snapdragon 778G
The second device nicknamed „Lisa“ will be equipped with a mid-range processor – the Snapdragon 778G. This processor offers eight Kryo 670 cores clocked up to 2.4 GHz, and it’s also paired with the Adreno 642L graphics chip and the Snapdragon X53 5G modem. It should also include a display with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz and three rear cameras (a 64 MP main sensor Samsung GW3, an ultra-wide-angle and a macro sensor).
In the coming period, Xiaomi should reveal the Mi MIX 4 and Mi CC11 news to us. In the first half of the year, however, the Chinese manufacturer hinted at preparations for a truly large number of smartphones. These devices have the code names Evergo, Evergreen, Zeus, Cupid, Psyche, Pissaro, Pissaropro, Cygnus, Bestla, Hyacinth, Divine, Lepus and Mercury.
