Our favorite Chinese company Xiaomi is improving its own camera app, MIUI Camera. The new update delivers better stability, and the fixes also affect the popular Night mode feature.
MIUI is Xiaomi's graphical user interface based on the Android operating system. However, this interface also includes several native apps from the manufacturer, which likewise receive regular updates, regardless of the version of the graphical interface.
One such app is also MIUI Camera. It has received new enhancements included in the updated version labeled V4.5.002870.0. Plus, this isn’t just a basic update that only fixes bugs.
According to the update description, the latest version is packed with important Night mode improvements, which you’ll appreciate especially in worse lighting conditions. It also includes stability improvements for the app itself, as well as the mentioned bug fixes from previous versions.
Xiaomi, though, updates its native apps quite regularly. Last May, we saw version labeled V4.5.002850.1, which brought some premium features from the flagship device Xiaomi 11 Ultra to many of its more affordable devices as well. Besides that, it also fixed some bugs that were present in previous app versions.
To install the latest version, you only need to download the .apk file for this version. You can find it in the link below (you’ll probably need to allow installation from unknown sources in your smartphone’s settings).
Install this package the same way you would any other app, and the new enhancements will automatically become part of your photo app, MIUI Camera.
⚠️ Notice: The new version of the MIUI Camera app may not work properly on all Xiaomi smartphone models. If you notice that some camera features are missing, you can simply get back to the original camera app by uninstalling the Camera app updates in your phone’s settings.
What do you think about the new update for the MIUI Camera app? If you have any other questions about the integrated features or the mobile app itself, feel free to write them below in the comments under the article.
