Xiaomi, in collaboration with the Miaomiaoce brand, is bringing a new, very interesting gadget to market for every home. It’s a smart alarm clock, which besides app control also offers very precise temperature and humidity measurement, plus a built-in timer.
New multifunction alarm clock from Xiaomi
The device is called Miaomiaoce Smart Clock. Thanks to Bluetooth 4.0, it lets you know the current temperature and the room’s relative humidity anytime.
Besides being simple clocks, this new gadget, which we can find for sale for now only on the crowdfunding platform Youpin, features a highly precise sensor developed by Swiss Sensirion. The sensor is capable of measuring temperature and humidity very accurately.
The clock dimensions are 110,7 × 50,7 × 17,2 mm, while its weight is just 67 grams. The construction is made from high-quality materials such as ABS plastic or PMMA. The design keeps fairly minimalist lines, which fits right into the Xiaomi ecosystem.
Besides that, on the back of the clock’s body it has a practical support in the form of a small stand, which allows you to place it not only on any surface, but also hang it on the wall. If we detach this clock stand, the alarm clock also has a practical magnet for mounting on metal surfaces.
The Xiaomi alarm clock also has the ability to store up to 18 different alarms and start a countdown as a timer. This is done simply by pressing one of its physical buttons located on the top.
In addition, these new smart clocks are compatible with the Xiaomi Mijia app as well. This lets you not only view the collected data, but also automate the operation of other smart functions based on the temperature and humidity of the given room.
Price and availability
The price of this interesting gadget is only 149 Chinese yuan, which is about 18 euros. For now it’s sold only on the Xiaomi Youpin platform. However, it’s very likely that the alarm clock will be available soon from well-known international retailers.
