During the Human x Car x Home event held on 21.5.2026 in China, Xiaomi officially unveiled its new high-performance electric SUV Xiaomi YU7 GT. This is the most aggressive version of the YU7 model line, targeting drivers who want a mix of extreme performance, luxury equipment, and technologies known from Xiaomi smartphones and smart home products.

The new model kicks off in the Chinese market at a price of 389,900 yuan, which is about €49,400 based on the current conversion. The fully equipped Big Full Pack version costs 429,900 yuan, or roughly €54,450.
Already at first glance, it looks like a very aggressively set price, since performance-wise Xiaomi YU7 GT sits in the premium sports SUV segment.
990 hp and acceleration like a supercar
At the heart of the car is the Xiaomi V8s EVO electric motor, reaching a maximum speed of up to 28 000 rpm. Xiaomi has used its own SiC (silicon carbide) power module, designed to improve efficiency and performance. The motor uses ultra-thin 0,15 mm stator and rotor sheets, with motor efficiency reaching up to 98,38 %.
The result is a crazy total system output of up to 738 kW / that’s 990 hp. The Xiaomi YU7 GT sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.92 seconds, and the top speed reaches 300 km/h. In other words, it’s a family SUV that attacks the territory of supercars with acceleration. The GT badge, meanwhile, comes from the Italian Gran Turismo—so Xiaomi doesn’t position it only as a track toy, but also as a fast car for long trips.
Battery, 897 V platform, and brutally fast charging
The Xiaomi YU7 GT comes with a ternary lithium battery with a capacity of 101.7 kWh. The car is built on a 897 V high-voltage SiC platform, enabling extremely fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the SUV can gain up to 570 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging.
The total range, according to the Chinese CLTC cycle, is 705 km. With the European-style WLTP measurement, however, we’d expect a lower figure, since Chinese CLTC is traditionally more optimistic. Even if real highway range ends up being noticeably lower, the battery capacity and charging speed are among the most interesting specs of the entire car.

Suspension tuned for the Nürburgring
For the YU7 GT, Xiaomi used the Jiaolong Chassis Master Edition system, which was also tuned at the Nürburgring. The suspension includes dual-valve CDC dampers with bidirectional damping adjustment, sealed dual-chamber air springs, and an electronic limited-slip differential eLSD.
The eLSD can split power between the rear wheels in milliseconds, which should help traction in corners and aggressive driving. Xiaomi is therefore not trying to impress only with raw power numbers, but with the kind of technology that makes sense during dynamic driving. With nearly 1000 hp, that’s more than necessary.
Brakes with carbon-ceramic discs
Such a fast SUV also needs serious brakes. The Xiaomi YU7 GT has carbon-ceramic brake rotors and powerful Akebono calipers. Up front there are six-piston and at the rear four-piston brakes—an equipment level we usually see in considerably more expensive sports cars.
The manufacturer claims a stopping distance from 100 to 0 km/h of only 32.9 meters. There’s also a figure for brake fade resistance, since the system should handle ten consecutive brake applications from 180 km/h to zero without a noticeable drop in performance. That sounds like a confident statement we’d really like to see verified in independent tests.
Design, five colors, and lots of carbon
The Xiaomi YU7 GT comes in five color options split across four series. Crimson Red gives it a sporty look, Volcanic Grey feels more luxurious, Obsidian Black and Pearl White cover the classic styles, while the more fashion-forward variant is called Titanium.
Both the exterior and interior feature extensive carbon-fiber details. Xiaomi even mentions a 24K gold-carbon fibre badge—so an emblem combining carbon fibers with a gold accent. It’s clear that with the GT version, Xiaomi wants to create the impression of a special edition, not just another high-performance configuration.
A luxurious cabin with Alcantara, massage functions, and Dolby Atmos
The interior is set to be wrapped in 2,3 square meters of Alcantara. In standard equipment, you get a massage function for four seats, an intelligent dimmable panoramic roof with shading up to 99,85% of the light, and a cabin designed to keep cabin noise as low as possible. Xiaomi uses multi-layer acoustic PVB glass for the front windshield, doors, and roof.
Sound is handled by a luxury audio system with 25 speakers, with support for Active Noise Cancellation and Dolby Atmos. So Xiaomi brings its ecosystem philosophy into the car—where the vehicle is meant to be another premium technology device at home. The only difference is that it has almost 1000 horsepower.
How much would the Xiaomi YU7 GT cost after import to Slovakia?
For a realistic estimate, you need to go beyond a simple exchange-rate conversion from the Chinese price. For Slovakia, we used an indicative rate of about 1 € = 7,90 CNY, plus transport and logistics costs of around 3000 €, standard 10 % import customs duty on the car, an additional EU anti-subsidy duty on Chinese electric vehicles, and Slovak VAT of 23 %.
With Xiaomi as a new Chinese manufacturer in the EU, it would in practice depend on the exact customs classification and the manufacturer’s status—so we’re presenting a more realistic, conservative scenario with a higher duty rate.
The base version at 389 900 CNY, after import, customs clearance, VAT, transportation, and fees, could come to roughly €95,000 in Slovakia. If a more favorable customs rate applied for cooperating manufacturers, the result could be closer to €86,000.
The fully equipped Big Full Pack version at 429 900 CNY could, after all costs, come to about €104,000, or around €94,000 under a more favorable customs regime. So it’s still a very strong price for the performance—but a Chinese figure of around €50k is unrealistic for Europe.
