Main light with power up to 70 W

The light uses a high-power LED light source rated at 70 W, which consists of 4 segments—each with 48 LED chips (192 in total). Thanks to this, it delivers impressive luminous flux and very high coverage even for wide worktables. The color rendering index is Ra≥95, meaning the colors of objects under the light are very true to life and suitable for working with graphics, design, or learning.

The color temperature can be adjusted in the range of 2700K – 6500K, allowing you to switch from warm relaxing light to cool white light—ideal for focused work. The light also has flicker-free certification, which is crucial for long-term use, for example in a home office or a child’s room.

360° RGB ambient backlighting with 16 million colors

A unique feature of this model is the color RGB light integrated around the perimeter of the main fixture, providing 360° ambient backlighting. You can choose any color from the 16 million shade palette via the mobile app or using gestures.

The colorful backlighting can create a pleasant atmosphere while working, relaxing, or as mood lighting in the room during an evening downtime.

The RGB LEDs are placed around the upper edge of the fixture and reflect the light toward the ceiling, creating a subtle “halo” effect. The backlighting can also be synchronized with the main light modes, or set independently—for example, modes like “night mode,” “evening relaxation,” or “kids reading.”

Integrated display with time and date as a bonus smart feature

One of the unique design elements of the Yeelight L1200 pendant light is a display integrated directly into the structure. This 2.51″ diagonal panel shows the exact time and date in real time in an elegant white color. Visually it looks clean, doesn’t disturb the appearance of the fixture, and thanks to high readability, it can be seen even from a greater distance or from the side angle.

The display is excellently integrated into the smart ecosystem—time syncs automatically via the Mi Home or Yeelight app. It also works as a practical orientation element during evening hours without the need to turn on the main light.

Gesture control and AI sensor

Yeelight lighting offers extremely comfortable gesture control thanks to the built-in AI sensor with high precision. Just wave your hand left or right to change the color temperature, and up or down to adjust the brightness. A double wave activates or turns off the RGB backlighting. The gestures work in real time and require no physical contact—perfect for working or cooking when your hands are messy.

Besides gestures, the light also has a Mi Home and Yeelight app, where you can set up automations, schedules, scenes, or voice control via XiaoAI, Siri, or Google Home. There’s also the option of a sleep timer or a “sleep mode”.

Professional color rendering and eye-friendly lighting

The new Yeelight pendant light offers excellent lighting specs for both work and relaxation. The used LED chips have a Ra98 color rendering index, ensuring exceptionally true-to-life color reproduction. This is complemented by CQS98, Rg100, Rf97, and R9 at a level of 94—professional values suitable even for photographers or designers.

The color temperature range from 2700 K to 6000 K lets you dynamically adjust lighting depending on your activity, time of day, or mood. That way, you can create the ideal lighting environment—from warm evening light to crisp, cool illumination for studying or working.

5-layer anti-glare technology and UGR ≤ 16

So the light isn’t uncomfortable for your eyes, Yeelight integrated five-layer anti-glare protection, which combines special diffusive films, reflectors, optical guides, and tempered glass. The result is even, soft, and pleasant light with a very low UGR ≤ 16 value—below the threshold where the human eye perceives glare as distracting.

For comparison—typical lights have UGR values of 22 – 28, with a value below 19 considered comfortable for the eyes. Yeelight goes even further and offers light that’s ideal for children, reading, or long-term work without eye fatigue.

TÜV certification, blue light protection, and flicker-free

The light has earned prestigious TÜV certification for safe lighting devices—no flickering, no risk of harmful blue light, and with a low risk of glare. The light source is classified as RG0 – completely safe in the photobiological risk category, which is the highest available level.

The device is also flicker-free—no visible flickering even at low brightness, helping to reduce eye strain. The certification was granted according to strict standards IEEE Std1789-2015 and IEC/TR 62778-2014, confirming top-tier lighting output quality.

Dynamic spectrum simulating sunrise

Yeelight lighting can automatically adjust the color temperature and brightness throughout the day based on the time—starting from sunrise to the night mode. This feature is called dynamic spectrum and helps synchronize your lighting with your biological rhythm. In the morning it kickstarts your energy with cool light, and in the evening it prepares you for rest.

This function is part of the Mi Home or Yeelight app, where you can also set your own daily routine, automations, or integration with other smart home devices.

Innovative design with a separated body and hanging system

One of the practical innovations is the separate construction of the light body and the hanging system. This makes maintenance, cleaning, and even replacement much easier than with standard fixtures with an integrated body. The fixture simply disconnects from the chains without needing to dismantle the entire ceiling system.

Installation is also easy for one person, and the system uses a classic mounting with height adjustment. The package also includes a mounting frame with efficient cable routing.

The top cover with a size of 90 mm additionally covers most installation imperfections without the need for repairs.

Price and availability: For now, available exclusively in China

Yeelight L1200 Smart Pendant Light is currently in the crowdfunding phase on the Chinese platform Xiaomi Youpin, where customers from China can pre-order it at a discounted price of 1199 yuan, which is approximately €145 / 3500 CZK. The first shipments are scheduled for November 8, 2025.

Outside China, it hasn’t been officially announced yet whether the light will also be released in a global version, but given its specs and design, it would definitely deserve a spot in European homes. Keep an eye on our website so you don’t miss any updates about possible global availability.
