Smart home devices have been booming quite a bit in recent years. A smart light fits perfectly alongside a robotic vacuum, a smart washing machine, or any other device. One such option is the Yeelight YLDP001 1SE bulb.
Our editorial team had the chance to test and use the more advanced sibling Yeelight 1S, which offers great features for its price—we can’t do anything else but recommend a similar product. In this article, we’ll introduce this useful home companion in more detail.
Available on Geekbuying
The RGB smart bulb Yeelight YLDP001 1SE appeared in our partner Geekbuying’s lineup, which offers an excellent deal price.
The product is available in a Chinese warehouse, but a huge plus is the customs-duty-free delivery that takes 10 to 20 business days.
Important: Orders from Geekbuying come with our VIP support, which you get after downloading our extension for the Chrome browser on desktop only (for this store, never shop through the app). Right after payment, send us your order number so we can check that VIP support is valid!
TIPWith EU Priority Line shipping, you don’t pay any extra fees.
We recommend choosing Priority Line shipping, where you won’t pay anything extra. Customs duties and any VAT will be handled for you directly by the seller. Shipping can be selected in the cart after you enter your delivery address. Delivery with EU Priority Line usually takes about 15 - 25 days, but it may also be longer.
TIP13-day delivery via Aliexpress Standard Shipping
For this product, AliExpress Standard Shipping is available with guaranteed delivery in 13 days. This is the most reliable shipping method, and in most cases it’s handled by a courier company.
When ordering from the Chinese warehouse, AliExpress will add the customs duty in your cart—approximately 3,70 € per order. When you receive the package, you won’t pay anything extra.

Wide range of customization options
Besides offering great brightness and energy-saving performance, this bulb also has smart functions that you can control thanks to compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It’s more than just a useful gadget.
But first, it’s good to go over the bulb’s basic specifications. The bulb’s brightness is fully sufficient at 650 lumens, which also means it has low power consumption of only 6 W. It comes with a standard E27 screw base.

The Yeeliht 1SE bulb can cover a color temperature range of 1700 – 6500K, so you won’t have any trouble using it in any situation. Another useful feature is brightness adjustment, which can come in handy in the evening when you don’t need the brightest light.
As we mentioned earlier in the article, the 1SE model supports RGB lighting. In the app, you can choose from up to 16 million different colors, letting you create a great atmosphere in your room in just a few seconds.
When it comes to lifespan, the manufacturer states the bulb can last for 25,000 hours. If we assume you use it about 3 hours per day, you’ll get a bit under 23 years of use.
Smart features are great
Since we regularly use the mentioned 1S model ourselves, we know how convenient the smart functions are. We connected Google Assistant with our Yeelight account, so now all we have to do is say the routine name and the assistant will know what to do.

For example, when we go to sleep, we just say “Hey Google, Bedtime” and the assistant already knows it should set the lowest brightness and start a timer for the pre-set time. At 6:30 AM, we have a trusted sunrise-simulation set up, which makes mornings—especially in dark winter weather—much easier to get through.
