Foldable smartphones are still more of an exception in Europe. Xiaomi , however, plans to change that—directly with its new model, Xiaomi MIX Fold 3.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 3: Will global customers get it too?
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 foldable phone was first spotted in China almost eight months ago. And now it has finally shown up on the official Xiaomi global website, which is great news for global customers.
That means Xiaomi joins other Chinese companies that sell their foldable devices in Europe through official distribution. For example: OnePlus Open or Honor Magic V2.
Naturally, we don’t know any other details about the launch yet. Still, the fact that the Chinese manufacturer is even considering this option is genuinely positive.
Here are the technical specifications
MIX Fold 3 is currently one of the most feature-packed foldable smartphones on the market. It also has an interesting weight of just 259 grams, and when fully folded, its thickness is only 10,96 mm.
Beyond these design details, though, the device is packed with flagship-level features. Once unfolded, you’ll be greeted by a 8.02” AMOLED display with up to 2K resolution, a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a maximum brightness of up to 2600 nits.
On the front, when closed, there’s a 6.56” Full HD+ AMOLED panel. Power comes from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It’s paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as well as 1 TB of fast UFS 4.0 storage.
There’s also a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilization, plus a 4800 mAh battery. You can charge it via a USB-C connector, and it also supports fast charging up to 67 W.
Price and availability of the foldable smartphone
The new Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 was registered on the brand’s global website. However, an official confirmation from the manufacturer is still missing. That’s why we don’t know the global selling price either. The Chinese price can be found on the following link.
