Everyone who owns a Xiaomi smartphone has been waiting for this moment. The global version of HyperOS 4 has just been released, and Xiaomi has published the dates for the 67 phones and 15 tablets

Global HyperOS 4 started rolling out today, 3 November 2026 at 10:00 Slovak time, and phones sold in Slovakia and in the EU will get it too. Xiaomi also published a schedule for it: the first models receive the update from early November, the next ones from mid-month, and older models only in December. The list includes a total of 67 Xiaomi phones and 15 tablets, from Xiaomi, REDMI and POCO, so in the tables below you’ll immediately see when it’s your phone’s turn.

HyperOS 4 global: schedule at a glance

In an announcement on Xiaomi Community, Xiaomi warns that the dates are approximate and may vary by region, operator and model. The order of models in the list also doesn’t mean the update will arrive in the same order. It rolls out gradually, so it’s normal if your neighbor already has it and you still don’t.

1. wave: HyperOS 4 from the beginning of November 2026

The first wave is by far the biggest. It includes the newest Xiaomi 17 flagships, but also last year’s Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra, both REDMI Note 17 and REDMI Note 15 series, as well as the POCO F8 and X8 models. It will also reach more affordable REDMI 17, REDMI 15C, POCO M8 and POCO C85, so owners of budget phones don’t have to wait for HyperOS 4.

2. wave: HyperOS 4 from mid-November 2026

In the second wave, HyperOS 4 models from Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro will arrive, plus a new POCO F9 line and last year’s POCO F7 and POCO X7 Pro. There are no REDMI phones in this wave—however, there are the most tablets, including Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad Mini.

3. wave: HyperOS 4 from December 2026

In December, HyperOS 4 will come to older devices: Xiaomi 13 and 14 series, including models T, the Xiaomi MIX Flip foldable, the REDMI Note 14 series, and older POCO F6 and X6 Pro models. For many of them, this could be one of the last major system updates.

Does the schedule also apply to Slovakia and the EU?

Yes. The schedule is on Xiaomi’s global page, which applies to devices sold outside mainland China—so also for phones and tablets in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and the rest of Europe. However, European versions (EEA) may receive the update a few days or weeks later than the global versions, and operator phones are usually even slower.

Note that on the HyperOS 4 product page on mi.com, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, POCO X8, as well as the REDMI Note 17 series are only in the second wave starting in mid-November. We base this on today’s official announcement from Xiaomi Community, where these models are in the first wave. So if you have one of them, the update may come right in the first few days—but it could also arrive a few weeks later.

What does HyperOS 4 bring?

• New look „soft light glass“: transparent glass elements that adapt to the content, and light effects when you tap and swipe your finger.
• Customizable lock screen: clocks whose size you can change, and new fonts (only on selected models).
• Grouped notifications: they stack on top of each other, and you can easily view them by swiping up.
• Folders with different sizes and widget stacking on the home screen.
• Higher performance: according to Xiaomi’s internal tests, on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, 30 apps after 9 hours of use launch together 8.7% faster (36.8 s instead of 40.3 s). The camera starts up in 808.8 ms instead of 1 043.6 ms after turning off, and when playing video and scrolling content, it drops far fewer frames.
• Xiaomi HyperAI: AI voice notes with automatic tasks and mind maps, transcription and summaries of recordings, translation of conversations, AI search in the gallery, and AI answers with web search.
• Security: keys for end-to-end communication are encrypted post-quantum, and AI data is processed privately both on-device and in the cloud.

Some AI features will be available only on selected models and in certain languages and regions, so they may not support Slovak everywhere yet.

How to check if you already have HyperOS 4 available?

1. Open Settings and tap About phone.
2. Choose the Xiaomi HyperOS tab and tap Check for updates.
3. If the update hasn’t shown up yet, try again in a few days, since it rolls out gradually.

Tip: Back up your data before installing, charge your phone to at least 50%, and free up a few GB of space in storage.

HyperOS 4 FAQs for Xiaomi

Along with the schedule, Xiaomi also published answers to the most common questions about the update.

Why haven’t I received the HyperOS 4 update yet?

The update is rolled out gradually, and the timing depends on the model—so you need to wait a bit. Xiaomi recommends having the latest official HyperOS 3 version on your phone; without it, you won’t get HyperOS 4.

Why don’t some functions work after the update?

After switching to HyperOS 4, update all apps in the app store so they work without issues. For safety, back up your personal data before the update itself.

Why does my phone get hot after the update?

After the update, the system will recompile apps to handle memory and performance better. The compilation runs in the background and uses the CPU, so your phone may heat up a bit more for a while and drain the battery faster. However, it happens only once and usage typically stabilizes after about 3 days of normal use.

How do I report a problem?

Open the Services & Feedback app, tap Send feedback, and describe the problem or suggestion.
