The Chinese company Redmi, as a sub-brand of the parent Xiaomi, has officially unveiled the global version of three new devices from the Redmi Note 10 series. Specifically, these are the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10S, and Redmi Note 10 Pro. These three are also complemented by an additional model, the Redmi Note 10 5G, which will, however, go on sale later.
But how will this trio of new smartphones perform in a direct comparison of their most important features? We’ll try to find the answer in today’s comparison article.
Comparison of technical specifications
The new trio of smartphones not only comes with an affordable retail price, but also features very similar technical specs. We’re also increasingly getting questions from our readers about these hot new releases—and the dilemma of which one to choose in the end.

Display: Super AMOLED for the first time
For the very first time, the manufacturer decided to use a quality AMOLED display in its Redmi Note series. All three devices feature it. However, if you want the newest and best option, we recommend choosing the Redmi Note 10 Pro, which wins hands down in terms of display. It offers a 6.67″ AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
The other two devices come with a smaller 6.43″ AMOLED panel with a base refresh rate of 60 Hz. This choice is especially recommended for less demanding users who will appreciate the smaller size of the device.
Performance: Qualcomm or MediaTek?
In terms of performance, the Redmi Note 10 Pro is again the leader. It comes with a powerful 8 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor, paired with the Adreno 618 graphics chip, along with 6 / 8 GB RAM and 64 / 128 GB of internal storage.
A cheaper and less powerful alternative is provided by the Redmi Note 10 and Note 10S smartphones. The base Redmi Note 10 offers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678, Adreno 612, and 4 GB RAM, while the Note 10S uses the MediaTek Helio G95, Mali-G76 MC4, and 4 GB RAM.
Camera: 48, 64 or 108 megapixels?
Camera features are just as important as any smartphone’s. In this case, the best-equipped model is the Redmi Note 10 Pro with a 108 MP main sensor. It’s complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide, a 5 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor.
The Redmi Note 10S smartphone offers a 64 MP main sensor, along with an 8 MP ultra-wide, a 2 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor. The base Redmi Note 10, in turn, has a 48 MP main sensor, and its secondary cameras are identical to those on the Note 10S model.
Three devices support video recording up to 4K at 30 fps. In every case, the front camera is placed in the cutout at the top of the screen. Redmi Note 10 Pro offers up to 16 MPx for a “selfie” camera, while the other two use 13 MPx sensors.
Connectivity: NFC is not a standard feature
On the connectivity front, there are no surprises in this affordable mid-range segment. None of the three smartphones offers 5G; 4G+ is the standard, along with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac + Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 5.0 (Redmi Note 10) or 5.1 (Redmi Note 10S, Note 10 Pro).
All three smartphones also include an interesting infrared port function for controlling home electronics, or a 3.5 mm audio connector for wired headphones. The difference comes with NFC support for mobile payments. The Redmi Note 10 model does not include NFC; for the Redmi Note 10S model it’s only available in selected regional versions. NFC is included in the Redmi Note 10 Pro model.
Battery: Great endurance on a single charge
Good endurance on a single charge is something of a benefit shared by all three devices. The Redmi Note 10 offers the same 5000 mAh capacity as the Redmi Note 10S. A slightly larger capacity is offered by the Redmi Note 10 Pro—specifically 5020 mAh.
The three devices also support fast 33W wired charging. Power is handled via the modern and universal USB Type-C connector. Wireless charging, as well as reverse charging, isn’t available on these new devices.
Price and availability of the smartphones
The official unveiling of the new smartphones happened only a few days ago, so sales of these devices aren’t officially live yet. However, you can already pre-order the Redmi Note 10 Pro, and its retail price should be around the 230 € / 275 USD mark depending on the configuration.
BUY REDMI NOTE 10 PRO FROM EU STOCK
The cheaper Redmi Note 10 model will start selling on March 8, 2021. Its retail price will be approximately from 170 € / 202 USD. The third model, the Redmi Note 10S with a MediaTek processor, should go on sale sometime during April 2021.
Final verdict: Redmi Note 10, Note 10S, and Note 10 Pro
If you want the newest and best that the current mid-range has to offer, we recommend the Redmi Note 10 Pro from the Redmi Note series, with a 108 MPx camera and NFC payments. But if you want to save a few euros, there are alternatives in the form of the Redmi Note 10 or Redmi Note 10S.
