A leaked video unboxing of the much-anticipated Xiaomi 13 Lite reveals all the key specs and the design

It looks like the planned Xiaomi 13 lineup, set to be unveiled on February 26, will also include another model labeled Xiaomi 13 Lite. Right now, photos of the smartphone and the actual packaging have leaked.

However, it’s not an entirely new smartphone. The Chinese market also knows it as Xiaomi Civi 2, which was introduced back in September last year. Xiaomi 13 Lite will be its global version.

Captured on video and photos

User Sudhanshu Ambhore on the social network Twitter also shared a video showing the box as well as the Xiaomi 13 Lite smartphone itself. There’s a close-up look at the phone and the rear camera module.

The packaging looks absolutely simple. The smartphone will come in a white box where, besides the phone, there will be no shortage of a USB cable and a 67-watt adapter. A simple case should also be included.

Other than the Xiaomi 13 Lite label, there’s nothing particularly interesting. As we mentioned, the smartphone will be identical to Xiaomi Civi 2, but there is one difference after all.

The Chinese model launched with Android 12 and the MIUI 13 interface. Xiaomi 13 Lite will arrive with MIUI 14, and we also expect Android 13.

Another interesting thing is that Google Dialer and Google Messages are installed on the global Xiaomi 13 Lite model. However, that’s where the differences completely end, and you can look forward to a capable mid-to-high-end smartphone.

Here’s what its specs will look like

On the front, you’ll get a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The front will be dominated by a dual punch-hole setup for a pair of selfie cameras—it noticeably resembles the Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro series.

Inside, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset will be doing the work alongside at least 8 GB of RAM. The rear module includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 20-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro.

The battery will have a 4,500 mAh capacity with 67W fast charging. So you’ll likely get Android 13 and MIUI 14 here. Quality stereo speakers won’t be missing either.

An official price tag has already leaked earlier, and it should be around 549 euros, which is really quite a lot compared to its predecessor, the Xiaomi 12 Lite.
