Soon, the company Redmi will prepare a new Redmi K50 series for us. We’re learning information that the flagship model will bring specs worthy of flagship phones.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and a 2K display
The flagship of this series should have truly flagship specs. As the MyDrivers portal wrote, the most advanced Redmi K50 will come with a Qualcomm flagship chipset, specifically the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Up front, a top-tier 6,67-inch OLED display is expected, which would mean the fingerprint reader would move from the power button directly under the display.
The surprise is rather the adoption of as much as 2K resolution, which isn’t something you often see on smartphones. We’ll see whether Redmi also enables resolution reduction to Full HD in settings, because 2K naturally uses a bit more power. Especially when you add a 120-hertz refresh rate to that.
It’ll stand out with fast charging and plenty of storage
They’re also thinking about power consumption at Redmi. According to leaked info, this model will get the maximum charging speed of 120 W. That would mean it can charge to 100 % in as little as 10-15 minutes. Everything depends on the battery capacity. We’re talking about 4700 mAh.
We also know one more parameter: the top memory version will offer up to 512-gigabytes of memory storage, which again is a flagship-grade feature. It probably won’t be surprising that, following the Redmi Note 11 pattern, the latest Android and the MIUI 13 custom skin will run in this model as well.
As announced earlier, the entire Redmi K50 series will be unveiled in February. For now, no specific date has been provided, but Redmi will let us know soon via social media. Be sure to keep following our web so you don’t miss any information about these new smartphones.
