During Xiaomi's long-awaited March conference in 2021, also called Mega Launch, the company introduced not only the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra smartphones, but also a very interesting router, the Mi AX9000. It is still one of the most powerful routers from the Chinese giant, and it comes with three bands. One of them is dedicated to gamers.

Transfer speed of up to 9000 Mbps
Lei Jun didn't spend much time on this router, so the full specifications haven't been released yet, but since it's a very interesting product, we're bringing you an article about it already now.
If you don't know router naming, the letters AX in the name mean the router supports the latest WiFi 6 standard (IEEE 802.11ax). The number 9000 represents the maximum theoretical data throughput of the device, which in this case is an incredible 9000 Mbps.
Three bands, one for gamers
Until now, Xiaomi had dual-band routers in its portfolio that supported the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The Xiaomi Mi AX9000 router comes with an additional band for gamers and is one of the so-called tri-band routers. The 2.4 GHz band, which also includes AIoT, offers a maximum throughput of 1731 Mbps, the 5 GHz band handles 2402 Mbps, and the third, also 5 GHz, offers up to 4804 Mbps.
The AX9000 router has up to 12 signal amplifiers (Power Amplifier – PA) and 8 external antennas, which are visually grouped into four pairs. Each pair contains 3 amplifiers inside. As for bandwidth, compared to the AX3000 series models, where we had 4 x 4 80 Mhz, the AX9000 router offers 4 x 4 160 Mhz.
You'll also find support for technologies like MU-MIMO and OFDMA, plus a powerful Qualcomm processor. On the back there are four LAN ports and also a USB 3.0 port. The router also has active cooling. The router's design itself is very interesting, with LED backlighting in the shape of the letter X on the top.
