The company Redmi, a Chinese Xiaomi subsidiary brand, is preparing its new flagship model Redmi K30 5G. It will bring a lot of new technologies, including 5G MultiLink connectivity, a hole-punch display with front cameras, and also a very good price/performance ratio.
Now more technical specifications are coming in—before the official announcement.
5G MultiLink and four rear cameras
Although in previous articles we brought you selected technical specifications, these were leaks of information before the official presentation. New information is coming directly from Redmi via the Weibo social network.
It published photos with a popular Chinese influencer, revealing a lot about the smartphone’s equipment.
5G MultiLink technology will also be included, so smooth data downloading won’t be hindered by the connection. Thanks to the technology used, the smartphone will support 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi‑Fi connectivity at the same time, as well as 5G mobile connectivity.
The back will feature four cameras at once. The main one should be a Sony IMX686 CMOS sensor with a resolution of 64 MPx, although some sources currently mention a 60 MPx sensor. It will be complemented by three more sensors with resolutions of 8 MPx, 5 MPx, and 2 Mpx. It’s also confirmed that the 5 MPx sensor won’t be a “telephoto” lens.
The front pair of cameras will be placed in the top-right corner of the display, specifically in the display cutout. At the moment we don’t know the resolution and features of these cameras, but the manufacturer should make everyday use more fun with witty wallpapers featuring images that hide the display cutout.
Snapdragon 765G processor and 12 antenna technology
The processor used in the Redmi K30 5G model should be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. Announced today with a focus on gaming, it should also come with Snapdragon X52. This will provide an SA/NSA dual 5G modem with a total download speed of 3.7 Gbps.
So the processor is also set up for the arrival of 5G connectivity. The chipset will offer the 5th generation of the AIE engine technology, with support for the most modern artificial intelligence features. The smartphone itself will include up to 12 antennas, ensuring stable and fast connectivity in every situation. Compared to 4G smartphones, it’s 2,4 times more antennas.
XiaoAI as part of the ecosystem
Above all, the Chinese version of the Redmi K30 5G will also include an intelligent assistant, XiaoAI—so it becomes part of the Xiaomi ecosystem. The phone will be connected with other Xiaomi smart home devices, including smart speakers and routers.

The manufacturer integrated a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh into the new smartphone. It will support fast “30W Fast Flash Charge” charging, allowing you to charge the battery from zero to full capacity in just a single hour.
The Redmi company press conference will take place on the domestic Chinese market on December 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM local time.
