Owners of the Redmi Note 10 series report repeated AMOLED display issues

The new Redmi Note 10 model (along with the more expensive Pro variant) was introduced only a few weeks ago, and the first owners of this affordable smartphone are already reporting issues with the AMOLED display.

The tenth line of popular Redmi Note smartphones brought a revolution through the integration of AMOLED panels. According to available information, however, the first users started complaining about issues specifically with the display, which doesn’t work properly.

Owners of various Redmi Note 10 models have posted their complaints on Twitter. They’re experiencing screen freezes, touch responsiveness issues, excessive display flickering in 120 Hz mode, or when Dark Mode is enabled.

One of these users stated that after noticing display issues with the Redmi Note 10, the service center replaced that unit with a brand-new smartphone. However, this device also turned out to be faulty, with the same problems still repeatedly appearing on the screen. After contacting the service again and again, he received the response that it’s a software issue that will be fixed via an update.

The issues also didn’t spare the more expensive Note 10 Pro

Another owner, this time of the more expensive Redmi Note 10 Pro, complained about display flickering in 120 Hz mode. By enabling the basic 60 Hz mode, it’s possible to reduce the flickering intensity. Other users also reported a similar bug, but during the dark mode while it was enabled.

Redmi India also responded to these posts, urging owners to contact the Chinese manufacturer directly. However, we still don’t know the exact solution, so we’ll have to wait for a possible software update.
