120 Official charging confirmed! Redmi revealed more details of the Redmi Note 11

Redmi will unveil a new lineup of Redmi Note 11 smartphones in just a few days. Day by day, it gradually reveals their specs and features. The new information applies not only to the base model Redmi Note 11, but also to the flagship Redmi Note 11 Pro+. So we definitely have something to look forward to.

Rapid 120 Official charging confirmed!

For some time now, rumors on the internet have said that the new model from the Redmi Note 11 series will bring a feature we’ve only seen so far in the flagship Xiaomi MIX 4. This is a truly fast 120 W charging, and Redmi is now officially confirming it. On its official Weibo profile, they shared a series of images that reveal high-end charging a bit more.

This feature should be available on the best-equipped model with the exact name Redmi Note 11 Pro+. To make such charging possible at all, Redmi had to split the battery into two parts. The dual battery is wired in series, with the voltage of one battery reduced, making charging safer.

With such high charging power, efficient cooling is also important—something Redmi solved using a Vapor Chamber, i.e., liquid cooling. The motherboard is covered with graphite from both the front and the back for effective and fast temperature balancing.

As for the capacity of the dual battery, Redmi has already confirmed it will be a 4500 mAh battery. Considering the construction thickness of just 8.34 mm, this is a very solid battery. Plus, thanks to 120 W charging, it will take less than 30 minutes to charge the battery from 0 to 100%.

AMOLED display with thin bezels

Besides the new boxy design, which we think looks very premium and elegant, the new series will also get new features we haven’t seen from the Redmi brand yet.

The base model Redmi Note 11 will come with a 6,5-inch AMOLED display, which will also have a 120-hertz refresh rate. It will also get a wide color gamut DCI-P3.

The bezels around the display will be only 1,75 mm thick. The front selfie camera will be placed in a small cutout with a diameter of 2,96 mm.

Other hardware specs we already know

In this model, Redmi will use a MediaTek processor—specifically the Dimensity 810 model. It will add RAM in configurations 4, 6, or 8 GB of DDR4 type.

The trio will be complemented by internal storage with a capacity of 128 or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 type. Wi‑Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2. will not be missing either, NFC for contactless payments via Google Pay, as well as a 3,5-millimeter audio connector. There will also be a special purple variant called Time Quiet Purple.

The base Redmi Note 11 is expected to start at 4 + 128 1 199 yuan, which comes out to 161 euros. The most expensive variant including 8 + 256 will cost 1 799 yuan, which is 242 euros. The prices are more than reasonable, and Redmi once again proves it has a great price-to-performance ratio.

Reminder: we’ll learn about the new Redmi Note 11 series on October 28 at 19:00 Chinese time. Besides the smartphones, the second generation of smartwatches Redmi Watch 2 will also be there.
