Our detailed review:
Redmi Note 11S: 90 Hz AMOLED and a MediaTek processor
The new Redmi Note 11S model follows the design of the other models with a similar flat look, featuring rounded edges and an integrated capacitive fingerprint sensor on the side of the device.
On the front, there is a 6.43″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 90 Hz. This display also offers a DCI-P3 color gamut and a maximum brightness that topped out at 1000 nits.
108 MPx camera, IP 53 certification, and a 5000 mAh battery
In terms of performance, there is an eight-core processor MediaTek Helio G96 made using 6 nm technology. It’s paired with 6 / 8 GB RAM and 64 / 128 GB internal storage. Thanks to the fast storage, you can however increase the RAM even further to the final 8 / 11 GB, which will definitely please, for example, mobile gamers.
A big advantage of this device is also the integrated 108 MPx camera, which you may already know from other Xiaomi smartphones and which is also found in the “Pro” models of the Redmi Note 11 series. This camera is also complemented by an 118° ultra-wide sensor, a macro sensor, and a depth sensor that will handle a blurred background in photos. Even here, software features like ultra-slow-motion video are not missing.
The construction also offers IP 53 certification for increased resistance to water and dust. As for other features of this device, you’ll also find a pair of stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting standard wired headphones. Gamers will also appreciate the powerful vibration motor with realistic Z-Axis response.
With the base Note 11 model, for example, the battery capacity is the same. It stands at 5000 mAh. The battery supports MMT (Middle-Middle Tab) technology with fast charging of up to 33 W. You’ll reach full charge in as little as 58 minutes. The fast charger is included in the package.
