Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G vs Note 13 Pro+ 5G vs POCO X6 Pro 5G: Design
At first glance, all the smartphones stand out with their rear design, which also makes them easy to tell apart in this case.
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a striking rear camera module, with two of the cameras protruding slightly more than the others. Available color options include black, Aurora purple, and Ocean Teal blue. All variants have a glossy back cover.

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G has a slightly different rear camera layout, with the cameras only visually separated and looking as if they protrude directly from the cover. Color options include black, white, and Aurora purple, which it shares with the previous model. Similarly, all color variants here are glossy.

Finally, the POCO X6 Pro 5G has only minimally protruding rear cameras, located in a separate module that is always black and stretches across the full width of the smartphone. The POCO logo is also present. Color options include classic yellow, black, and gray. In yellow, the back cover is matte with a leather-like pattern, while the remaining colors are smooth but not glossy.

For us, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G wins this category, as it has changed its design the most compared to its predecessor. Also interesting is the purple color, aimed primarily at women, which stylishly combines multiple colors around the rear camera area.
Build quality, weight, and edges
In this price range, manufacturers often don’t specify the materials used for the smartphone frame. We at least learned that the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G have reinforced aluminum corners and a shock-absorbing layer. The latest trend is sharp edges, which the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G dominates with. The trade-off for this design is a less comfortable grip in the hand.
On the other hand, both the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G have slightly curved rear edges, which contribute to a more comfortable grip.
As for weight, the heaviest is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G at 204.5 g. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G have almost the same weight, 186 and 187 g.
IP certifications are also welcome, especially in this category, where they are not always a given. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G received an IP54 rating, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G can boast a higher IP68 certification.
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G vs Note 13 Pro+ 5G vs POCO X6 Pro 5G: Display
A quality AMOLED display has long since ceased to be the preserve of flagship phones. Today, even mid-range smartphones can offer a very interesting display, and this is no different here. In fact, all three compared smartphones have a 6.67″ AMOLED display with the same parameters and the CrystalRes label.

The displays offer 1.5K resolution of 2712 x 1220 px, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and a high peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. Support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+ is also included. There is, however, one difference, and that is the rounded side edges on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, which is also the first smartphone from the Redmi brand with such a display.
In this category, there isn’t a winner, since we don’t consider a curved display to be any kind of advantage. Some people don’t like it, while others דווקא prefer curved edges.
Different processors
In contrast to the previous category, the processors are different too, since each of these smartphones uses a different one. They are all octa-core and made using 4 nm technology, but they are neither the same models nor from the same manufacturers.
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is the only one of the trio with a processor from American Qualcomm, specifically the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. It has 4 Cortex-A78 cores running at 2400 MHz and 4 Cortex-A55 cores running at 1950 MHz.
The second one, Redmi Note Pro+ 5G, has a MediaTek processor, the Dimensity 7200-Ultra. It consists of two Cortex-A715 cores running at 2800 MHz and six Cortex-A510 cores running at 2000 MHz.
Thirdly, the heart of the POCO X6 Pro 5G smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra, made up of four Cortex-A510 cores running at 2200 MHz, three Cortex-A715 cores running at 3200 MHz, and one Cortex-A715 core clocked at up to 3350 MHz.
In the popular AnTuTu benchmark, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 575 588 points, the Dimensity 7200-Ultra 719 340 points, and the absolute king is the Dimensity 8300-Ultra with a score of up to 1 524 288 points.
The clear winner in this category (highest gaming performance) is the POCO X6 Pro 5G, by a wide margin.
Plenty of memory
The lowest-end model, Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 internal storage. We can buy it in 8+256 GB or 12+512 GB memory variants.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G offers faster LPDDR5 memory, as well as faster UFS 3.1 storage. The same memory variants are available.
Last but not least, the POCO X6 Pro 5G comes out on top in this imaginary ranking, since it has LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 internal storage. As for memory variants, we also have 8+256 GB or 12+512 GB available here.
Redmi leads in cameras
Both compared Redmi models will please with a 200 MP main camera featuring a Samsung sensor. Specifically, it is the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 with a 1/1.4″ size, f/1.65 aperture, and optical image stabilization support. The sensor combines up to 16 pixels into one.
The main camera is complemented by two more – an ultra-wide camera and a macro camera. However, based on the specs, these are significantly weaker. The ultra-wide camera has an 8 MP resolution and uses the Sony IMX355 sensor with a 1/2.8″ size and f/2.2 aperture.
The macro camera has only modest 2 MP. It uses the Omnivision OV02B10 sensor with a 1/5″ size and f/2.4 aperture.
The POCO X6 Pro 5G has a 64 MP Omnivision OV64B main camera with a 1/2″ size and f/1.7 aperture. The ultra-wide camera has 8 MP with an f/2.2 aperture, and the macro camera offers 2 MP with an f/2.4 aperture.
All three smartphones are also equipped with optical and electronic stabilization for the main camera. The winner in photography is clearly Redmi, while POCO traditionally lags behind, as it focuses mainly on performance.
POCO X6 Pro 5G already with the new HyperOS system
Here we’ll be quite brief and point out just one major difference. While Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G still run Android 13 with the MIUI 14 user interface, POCO comes with something new.
The latest POCO X6 Pro 5G already includes the newest Android 14 together with the new HyperOS user interface.
Battery and charging
All three smartphones have very similar batteries. Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a 5100 mAh battery, while the other 2 models have a 5000 mAh battery. The difference is negligible.
What isn’t negligible, though, is charging speed, where the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G dominates with 120 W HyperCharge charging.
Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G vs Note 13 Pro+ 5G vs POCO X6 Pro 5G: Connectivity
All three smartphones come with NFC for contactless payments and a dual-SIM slot. Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G and POCO X6 Pro 5G will also please with the newer WiFi 6 standard. The other two models only support the older WiFi 5 version, also known as IEEE 802.11ac.
The Bluetooth versions differ: the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has Bluetooth version 5.2, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G has Bluetooth version 5.3, and the POCO X6 Pro 5G supports Bluetooth 5.4. The lowest model from this trio will also please some customers with a 3.5 mm jack for wired headphones.
