RedmiBook 16 and 14 II come with Intel Core i7 of 10. generation and a new Nvidia GeForce MX350 graphics card

Redmi as a subsidiary brand of Xiaomi is updating its laptops. RedmiBook 16 and 14 II are getting new Intel 10th-generation processors and improved GeForce MX350 graphics.

According to assumptions, Xiaomi has also moved to a hardware refresh for laptops of its Redmi sub-brand. The updated models are RedmiBook 16 and RedmiBook 14 II.

In terms of the update, the manufacturer is bringing the latest Intel 10th-generation processors, specifically affecting the models using Intel Core i5 and i7. Besides versions equipped with AMD Ryzen chips, versions with Intel Core i5-10210U and Intel Core i7-10510U are also expected to be available for sale.

The new feature for the tenth generation of processors is an increase in IPC (instructions per cycle / clock) by up to 18% and with improvements you also upgraded the graphics chip, turning it specifically into a GeForce MX350 GPU. In addition, the laptop will come with up to 16 GB of RAM memory and up to 512 GB of fast SSD storage.

The new variant of the RedmiBook 16 and 14 II models will also keep other equipment features, such as 100% sRGB color gamut on the display and fast charging that can charge a 46 Wh battery to 50% in just 38 minutes.

Also in the new generation, a trio of different performance modes is not missing. They are able to provide suitable and optimal performance depending on the user’s current needs. Switching between modes is solved very easily with a keyboard shortcut—specifically, it’s the key combination Fn + K.

When it comes to connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11ax 2×2 MIMO (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth version 5.1, 1 x USB port 3.1 (1. generation), 1 x USB port 2.0, 2 x USB Type-C port, and 1 x HDMI port in version 1.4.

As for prices, RedmiBook 14 II laptops, as well as RedmiBook 16 in the version with an Intel Core i5-10210U processor, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage start at 4699 Chinese yuan (591 € / 671 USD). Versions with an Intel Core i7-10510U processor then start at 5699 Chinese yuan (718 € / 814 USD).
