The company Xiaomi has announced that selected models of its smartphones will receive software updates for up to six years, marking a significant shift in its approach to device support.

We definitely applaud the extension of updates, and this move includes the following models:
- POCO F7 Pro – support until March 27, 2031
- POCO F7 Ultra – support until March 27, 2031
- Xiaomi 15 Ultra – support until March 1, 2031
- Xiaomi 15 – support until March 1, 2031
- Redmi Note 14 – support until March 1, 2031
Besides these models, the company has also expanded support for additional mid-range devices, which will receive four years of updates:
- Redmi Note 14 5G – support until January 10, 2029
- Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G – support until January 30, 2029
- Redmi Note 14 Pro – support until January 15, 2029
- POCO X7 – support until January 30, 2029
- POCO X7 Pro – support until January 7, 2029
This commitment to long-term software support reflects Xiaomi’s efforts to improve the lifespan of its devices and provide users with up-to-date features and security patches.
