On the official Chinese Weibo profile of Xiaomi, new official information about two upcoming products unexpectedly appeared today – the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth smartphone and the expected MIUI 12 upgrade.
Two new products later this month
The Chinese tech giant announced the official launch of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G novelty for April 27 at 14:00 local time. Here, that time will translate to 8:00 AM on the same day.
Along with the new smartphone, we’ll also get a new generation of MIUI 12. It will happen exactly as the recent leaks claimed.
Mi 10 Youth with 50-times zoom
Xiaomi has already revealed a bit about the upcoming news. It shared the first promotional posters for the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth smartphone, showing that the cameras will be in a square shape. The smartphone is said to be aimed primarily at young people, which is suggested not only by the name, but also by the trendy colors it will be available in.
After taking a closer look at the camera, it’s clear that it includes a periscope lens with up to a 50x zoom. This zoom will definitely be digital.
One of the reliable tipsters from China claims that the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth model will weigh only 192 grams and that its thickness will be 7,98 mm. He also revealed that the device will come with a battery with a capacity of 4160 mAh.
The Mi 10 Youth model should be something like a Chinese version of the already announced European Mi 10 Lite. However, the China version will get a much more interesting camera — thanks to the periscope lens.
