The first information about the MIUI 11 update we received in the previous days, and the first devices with a Chinese ROM will get it still during this month. More devices will follow during October, and the popular Pocophone F1 will also be added to the list of these devices.
In just the next month, even for Pocophone
The original list did not include the popular Pocophone F1 model, and this fact upset a lot of users on social media, including on Twitter. This is precisely why the brand’s executive director, Alvin Tse, explains the reason behind the situation.
Pocophone F1 will get an update, and according to him, it will be “not for too long” after the models with the mentioned Chinese ROM. The reason for not being included in the list is simple: this smartphone was not launched on the Chinese market, and the published list primarily concerned Chinese devices.
Good news, then, is that the new MIUI 11 system—with the improvements and new features we brought you— in a separate article, will also be coming for some kind of third branch of smartphones from Xiaomi’s parent company. Fans of affordable flagship-grade devices have reason to smile, even though the successor to this model is still nowhere in sight.
As for the update itself, the first “Chinese” wave includes not only the latest flagship devices such as Xiaomi Mi 9, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, but also older devices like Redmi Note 4X or Redmi 5 Plus. Owners of more budget-friendly models like Redmi 5, Redmi 6 or Redmi Note 7 will also get it.
