Our detailed review:
Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro: Full HD resolution and 900 ANSI
The new model called Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro is coming to the global market, with availability also for European customers. The projector retains the traditional quad-shaped design and has a prominent lens in the upper half of the housing, which was confirmed at the CES 2024 exhibition.
However, changes were made in the color finish. While the previous version featured a matte white body with black elements, in this case the manufacturer chose a dark blue finish. The projector dimensions remain the same compared to the base model, 176 x 209 x 223 mm.
This model brings several upgrades compared to its predecessor. It offers 1080p picture resolution with DCI-P3 and HDR10 support, as well as 4K decoding. The package includes the PixelPro 5.0 optical engine with top brightness of 900 ANSI lumens and a lamp life of up to 30,000 hours.
Android TV 11, official certification for Netflix and 8 W speakers
The projector uses LCD projection technology with a throw ratio of 1.2 and a maximum image width of up to 150″ (about 381 cm). The contrast is capped at 3000:1. You can use keystone correction, smart obstacle avoidance, automatic focus, and one-click screen alignment.
A pair of built-in 8 W speakers takes care of great audio. Connectivity is covered by dual-band Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. In terms of ports, you can use HDMI 1.4, as well as USB 2.0 and a 3.5 mm connector for wired headphones.
The new projector also brings a new operating system, with Android TV 11 (the predecessor offered Android TV 9.0). The projector also has a built-in gaming mode, supports voice commands via Google Assistant, and content sharing using Chromecast. The manufacturer also supports Widevine DRM L1, so you can enjoy watching YouTube or Netflix content in high resolution.
Price and availability of Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro
According to information from our direct contact at Geekbuying, the new Wanbo Mozart 1 Pro will reach sellers’ stock after the Chinese New Year, i.e. approximately in the second half of February. As soon as the projector is available, we’ll let you know.
And of course, we’ll also get you a great little coupon. We don’t know the retail price yet, but considering the price of the predecessor Mozart 1, we expect it to fall in the range of 300 – 400 €.
