Xiaomi and Viomi: New smart washing machine with a dryer and color display
The Chinese manufacturer offers through its crowdfunding platform a new washing machine with an integrated dryer, which is also compatible with the Mi Home app and will therefore offer intelligent features.
The new smart washing machine model is coming to the YouPin platform as part of the cooperation between the Xiaomi brand and partner brand Viomi. The size of this washing machine is 595 x 660 x 850 millimeters. Its weight is 73 kilograms and its capacity is 10 kilograms, or 68 liters.
Among the characteristic features of this model are a total of up to 12 wash cycles, a spin speed of 4600 revolutions per minute, and also a system for eliminating pathogens thanks to drying the laundry with hot air.
All of this is complemented by an integrated processor that will provide intelligent control of detergent and fabric softener dispensing and will also choose a suitable wash mode to preserve the gentleness of your clothes.
This is all complemented by Wi-Fi connectivity and a color touchscreen. It is located on the front of the washing machine. The connection with the mobile app Mi Home (Chinese version = Chinese app server) is also available, so you can manage and automate processes directly via your smartphone.
Price and availability of the product
A new product from the Xiaomi and Viomi brands, a smart washing machine, is entering sales in China at the official retail price of 3699 Chinese yuan. In the current conversion, that’s about 476 € / 580 USD. The washing machine will start being sold via Xiaomi crowdfunding platform on June 21, 2021.
Given the size of this product, we do not expect official availability in the global version in Europe. However, it’s possible that in the coming weeks the new product will appear on the offer of an international online marketplace, such as Aliexpress.com.
