- October: over 50 000 delivered cars
- January to October total: approximately 336 490 cars
- To the target of 550 000 cars, more than 200 000 are missing
Xiaomi shares on the Hong Kong stock exchange on Monday, 2 November, rose by 6.3 % to 28.14 Hong Kong dollars (around 3.21 €). One piece of news was enough: in October, Xiaomi delivered more than 50 000 electric vehicles to customers. According to the Investing.com portal, it had its best month of the year. On that day, the Hang Seng Tech technology companies index rose by 2.85 % by midday, so Xiaomi was up roughly twice as much as the market.
Citi advises buying
Citi also helped with the good mood: the bank again recommended buying Xiaomi shares and set a target price at 33,2 Hong Kong dollars (around 3,79 €). According to the bank, the delivery figures in the near future will keep the share price supported, and this is a good time to buy. Hong Kong tech stocks were also recovering from the October sell-off, when investors pulled back because they feared that companies around artificial intelligence were overpriced.

Xiaomi car shipments are growing month by month. In August there were more than 30 000, in September 40 015 and in October for the first time this year over 50 000. Above this threshold, Xiaomi has only been once so far—in December 2025, when it delivered 50 212 cars. The exact October number and breakdown by models will be published by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CPCA) later, in November.
More than 200 000 cars are still missing to reach the goal
For year 2026, Xiaomi set a target of 550 000 cars. From January through the end of October, it handed over about 336 490 to customers, so it has achieved roughly 61 % of the plan. To meet the target, it would have to deliver in November and December 107 000 cars each, which is more than double October. Notebookcheck therefore expects Xiaomi to sell fewer cars this year than it planned.
According to Notebookcheck, it’s especially due to tough competition. China’s electric vehicle market is among the hardest in the world, and established brands like BYD, Xpeng or NIO are not going to give up customers that easily. Last year, Xiaomi delivered over 410 000 cars, so even with the unmet target, it significantly improved year over year.
To Europe in 2027
In 2027, Xiaomi wants to start selling cars also in Europe. The SU7 and YU7 GT models are already being tested on European roads, as we wrote in a separate article.

A big ecosystem could help Xiaomi, because the car will connect with the phone, smartwatches and the Xiaomi home. Also because of Europe, investors are watching every monthly figure from the automaker.
