Xiaomi has updated its list of devices marked as EOL (End-of-Life), meaning the end of update support. This step immediately affected 10 smartphones under the Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO brands. These devices will no longer receive any system updates or security patches, which may impact their long-term security and compatibility with modern software.
Complete list of devices that lost support
Xiaomi has added several popular models to its EOL list, once considered top-tier in their categories. The new list includes devices from different markets such as China, India, the global market, and the European market:
Xiaomi
- Xiaomi Civi 1S (China)
- Mi 11X Pro (India)
- Mi 11i (Global and EEA)
- Mi 11 Ultra (Global, India, EEA, Indonesia)
Redmi
- Redmi 10 2022 (Turkey)
- Redmi K40 Pro / K40 Pro+ (China)
- Redmi K50 / K50 Pro (China)
- Redmi Note 11 Pro (EEA, Indonesia, Taiwan, Russia)
POCO
- POCO M4 Pro 5G (Turkey)
- POCO F4 GT (Global)
What does EOL mean for Xiaomi devices?
EOL, i.e., End-of-Life, marks the point when Xiaomi definitively stops providing all updates for a specific model. It’s not just the absence of new features or MIUI updates, but mainly the end of security patches. From that moment on, the company will no longer respond to any new vulnerabilities and won’t provide any software support.

For users, it doesn’t mean the phone stops working, but continuing to use it becomes riskier—especially in terms of security, app compatibility, or performance on newer versions of Android apps.
Solution? Unofficial routes or an upgrade
Some users may turn to community solutions such as custom ROM, which allow you to access updated system apps, optimizations, and other improvements even on unsupported models. However, these solutions require technical know-how and come with the risk of unofficial modifications.

An alternative, of course, is switching to a newer device. Xiaomi currently offers very well-equipped models with several years of software support, which guarantee not only better battery life and performance, but—most importantly—regular security updates. So if you own any of the models listed above, consider upgrading and avoid unnecessary complications in the future.
