The company Xiaomi has decided once again to organize a collection – crowdfunding to support the launch of a new product. This time, it’s a piece of furniture. Xiaomi Yeelight bathroom cabinet will join smart home elements thanks to great features.
Minimalist design and intense lighting
Once again, Xiaomi has bet on a minimalist design that matches the entire product portfolio and is still in very high demand. The cabinet body made of aluminum is well suited for a damp bathroom environment. The front of the cabinet is made of two hinged doors covered with a mirror surface.
On the edges of the doors, two vertical LED strips are integrated, with up to 252 LED diodes in total. The light index is Ra90, and the lighting supports step dimming in the range of 2700K – 6500K. The light offers 4 color tones.
At the bottom, there’s a touch panel with four control buttons. It also responds to touch with wet hands.
A very practical feature is heating the mirror surface. This is provided by a PET heating film, which heats the surface to a constant temperature so the mirror quickly clears from condensation. For safety and energy savings, the heating has an automatic shutoff function.
As with most other Xiaomi products, this one can also be controlled via the app Mi Home on your smartphone. Thanks to the app, you can control all cabinet functions remotely, including turning on heating, adjusting brightness, or changing the light temperature. It also supports integration with the voice assistant XiaoAI.
The product is currently intended only for China, and it is not known whether it will also make it to the international market. Xiaomi Yeelight smart mirror cabinet is available in several versions, with the two-door version with smart features starting at 2399 yuan, which converts to 310 € / 7940 kč.
A model without smart features is also on sale, priced at 1499 yuan, which converts to 194 € / 4960 kč.
