The Chinese brand Xiaomi brings a new treadmill as part of its Mijia product lineup. It also offers smart features and an attractive sales price.
A new smart treadmill from Xiaomi
Along with the new smartphone Xiaomi CIVI, we’ve also gotten other products that were officially unveiled at Xiaomi’s September press conference in China. The new addition is also a new treadmill Xiaomi Mijia Treadmill, which offers several smart features.
The new product has fairly compact dimensions, and you’ll definitely appreciate the folding design option. Smart functions also give you hours of practical training for running properly, and in combination with other devices they help you monitor your whole body.
Folding design, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
Thanks to its folding design, the Xiaomi Mijia Treadmill is very compact. When folded, its height is only 19.2 centimeters, so you can place it conveniently under a bed or under a sofa.
The equipment includes a powerful electric motor with a total power output of 1.25 HP, which also has a very low noise level. What’s more, the running belt itself can absorb shocks while you run, which is also a plus. The maximum belt speed—i.e., running speed—is 15 km/h, while the minimum is 1 km/h.
In addition, the Xiaomi product also includes Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, so you can connect it to your mobile phone using the well-known Xiaomi Home app. For even faster pairing with your smartphone, NFC is even available. Thanks to automation, you can also combine it with other devices such as an air purifier or a fan, right through the mobile app.
It also comes with its own “unicolor” screen that shows the time, heart rate, distance covered, your current speed, and the number of calories burned. The frame also includes a small spot to place your smartphone.
You can also connect the Xiaomi Mijia Treadmill to Xiaomi smart TVs for video projection or sports tutorials. This connection delivers an immersive experience from your workout course in maximum 4K resolution.
Price and availability of the new treadmill
The selling price of the new Xiaomi Mijia Tradmill treadmill has been set at 2499 Chinese yuan. That works out to roughly €331 / $386. Sales are planned to start only in the Chinese market, and we don’t yet have information about any possible global availability. However, it’s likely that this product will show up in listings by international sellers on Aliexpresse.
