With the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera AW300 you can see clearly both day and night
A 3-megapixel CMOS sensor with 2K resolution (2304 x 1296 px) takes care of the image quality, and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology ensures visibility in challenging lighting conditions.
Better visibility is also helped by two bright LED diodes, which together with a pair of 850 nm infrared lights make sure you can see a clear, color image even at night. The floodlights turn on automatically when motion is detected.
It keeps you informed about everything
After you connect the camera to your smartphone, it will notify you whenever it detects motion in its field of view and when something enters the so-called “protected zone” — then the camera will trigger an audio alarm and start flashing its lights.
You can set the protected zone in the app as an area where movement shouldn’t happen. For example, when someone enters the space where you park your car, you’ll get a notification.
You can even talk to the arriving guest using the camera and the paired app, since the camera has a built-in microphone with a range of up to 7 meters.
This camera also features dust and water protection IP66, so you can use it even in tougher conditions. Xiaomi Outdoor Camera AW300 can operate in temperatures from -30 °C to 60 °C.
Connection to the app
Once you connect the Xiaomi Outdoor Camera AW300 to a Wi-Fi network, you pair it with the familiar Mi Home app. Your data is protected by the built-in Mijia security chip with AES128 encryption.
The camera also uses H.265 encoding, which is more efficient than H.264. After pairing, you can watch the feed from up to four cameras at the same time.
