The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi surprised us again with its new product. This time, it expands its projector lineup with a new and portable projector with compact dimensions and low weight. You’ll especially appreciate that when carrying it to the cottage or on trips.
Xiaomi has a portable projector with a weight of a little over 1 kilograms
Portable projectors might be something you already know from our local market, so the Slovak or Czech one. Now, however, Xiaomi is bringing its own novelty too. The projector is labeled Xiaomi Projector Mini and continues the design language of its predecessors. The standout, though, is the more compact size of 9.5 x 9.8 x 15.3 cm and a weight of just 1.3 kilograms.
One big advantage of portable tech is the built-in battery. It delivers a total runtime of up to two hours. During that time, you don’t need any power supply. When it’s drained, a charger for your smartphone will be enough, since a modern and universal connector USB Type-C is part of the design.
Of course, it’s not a flagship model with top-tier projection quality. The device offers basic resolution 720p (HD) and a maximum brightness of 250 ANSI lumens. That’s enough for enjoying quality multimedia content in a controlled, darker environment. However, it’s a multiple times cheaper device compared to the most expensive models in the segment.
An integrated chip Amlogic T972 takes care of stable projection performance. This processor will be paired with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, where you can save your multimedia files or various audio tracks.
When it comes to connectivity, you get an HDMI port, a USB-A port, a 3.5 mm audio connector, and an integrated NFC chip that makes it easy to connect quickly to your device. The built-in speaker delivers 8 W and supports virtual sound WANOS.
