Xiaomi, known for its tech innovations, surprised us again at a conference today with the introduction not only of its beefed-up novelties Xiaomi 15 and Xiami 15 Pro, but also the launch of production of its latest electric sedan, SU7 Ultra. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra model, which Xiaomi first unveiled in July under the leadership of Lei Jun, is a refined version of the fully electric SU7 sedan.

With three powerful electric motors, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra becomes one of the fastest 4-door sedans in the world. Weighing 1900 kg, it can reach a top speed of up to 350 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in an unbelievable 1.98 seconds. So it’s ready to compete not only in the EV world, but also among the best models in its class.
Powerful tri-motor system
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is powered by a tri-motor setup consisting of two V8s motors with 578 HP each and one V6s motor with 392 HP. This system delivers maximum efficiency and excellent performance both on the road and on the track.
At the same time, the motors reach up to 27,200 rpm, enabling lightning-fast response and uncompromising acceleration. With this move, Xiaomi proves that its technology can take on even the most high-performance models on the market.
Battery and cooling system
Xiaomi equips the SU7 Ultra with a powerful battery with a capacity of 93.7 kWh and a maximum voltage of 897 V, supporting not only fast charging but also the option to use this car for racing. The battery reaches 20% charge at 800 kW, providing excellent efficiency for longer drives.
In addition, the vehicle features an advanced cooling system that includes dual 400 W fans, a 530 W water pump and 28 kW of electric cooling. Thanks to this, the SU7 Ultra can handle even extreme conditions on track sessions like the Nürburgring, where its prototype completed two consecutive laps without overheating. We describe how it looked at the end of the article.

Xiaomi Speed Ultra 7: Braking system and stability
When developing the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi also focused on a top-tier braking system. The model is equipped with large ceramic brake discs measuring 430 mm x 40 mm in the front and 410 mm x 32 mm at the rear, reaching an operating temperature of up to 1300 °C.
Thanks to six-piston front and four-piston rear brake calipers from Akebono, the SU7 Ultra can deliver exceptional braking performance and durability. In addition, the vehicle uses regenerative braking with maximum deceleration of 0.6g, which increases system efficiency. This system ensures that even at high speeds the vehicle stays under perfect control.
Suspension and optional dampers for driving modes
To achieve maximum stability and comfort, Xiaomi fitted the SU7 Ultra with an advanced suspension featuring sealed dual-chamber air springs and variable dampers.
This system provides solid support in Sport mode, while in Standard mode it improves ride comfort. Drivers can also choose the optional dampers Bilstein EVO T1, which offer maximum spring force 300 N/mm and maximum durability 9000 N, further expanding your customization options.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra offers up to 11 different driving modes, covering everything from an efficient mode for everyday driving to special modes for race tracks and circuits, including endurance and drift modes. These modes tune the vehicle’s dynamics and performance, so every driver can find their perfect match.
Sport-tuned interior and multimedia system
The SU7 Ultra interior is designed with a focus on sport and luxury. With 5 m² Alcantara® covering the steering wheel, seats, and other parts of the cabin, it looks exceptionally elegant.
In addition, it uses up to 17 different components with carbon fiber, giving the interior a unique sporty character. Xiaomi, based on what we know from the conference, makes sure that driving the SU7 Ultra is not only powerful, but also enjoyable and comfortable.
The sport-tuned audio system delivers 2 unique “engine-like” sounds that play with every acceleration, adding a sense of dynamism to your drive. Plus, a 40 W external speaker lets you play these sounds even outside the car for an unforgettable audio experience.
Advanced onboard technology
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features an innovative “赛道模式” (track racing mode) supported by the Track Master App. With this app, drivers can not only analyze their on-track performance, but also share ride videos and review historical speed data.
Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype: What did it look like on the Nürburgring track?
The SU7 Ultra prototype from Xiaomi rewrote history on the iconic Nürburgring track, where it became the fastest 4-door vehicle to master the demanding circuit with an astonishing time of 6 minutes and 46.874 seconds.
However, Xiaomi didn’t achieve this success that easily, as testing faced multiple obstacles caused by bad weather. Although the first attempts on October 9 and 10 were ruined by the rain, Xiaomi ultimately succeeded yesterday, on October 28, when they finally managed to set the record time.
On the day of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s record attempt, the vehicle started its run exactly at 11:50 during the reserved one-hour window. More than six minutes later, it crossed the finish line, achieving a record time later confirmed by representatives of the Nürburgring circuit. This milestone significantly strengthened Xiaomi’s position in the electric vehicle market.

To achieve the record time, Xiaomi recruited experienced British racing driver David Pittard, winner of the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2023. He ensured that the SU7 Ultra prototype conquered the demanding Nürburgring track with unmatched precision and speed.
That Xiaomi’s sport models really turned out well is also confirmed by praise for the SU7. In an interview, Ford CEO Jim Farley, highlighted the Chinese EV Xiaomi SU7, which he has been using privately for 6 months already.
Farley admitted he doesn’t want to say goodbye to the car. “It’s fantastic. They sell 10,000 to 20,000 units every month, and they’re completely sold out for the next six months,” Farley said, calling Xiaomi a “giant of the industry.” We’re sure he’ll be even more excited when he gets to sit in the more powerful Ultra version. We’ll see how production goes and what kind of feedback industry experts will give.
