Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is expanding its smart TV lineup with a new and massive global model called Xiaomi TV Max 100. As the name suggests, it will feature up to a 100″ display with 120 Hz refresh rate support and 4K picture resolution.
Xiaomi TV Max 100: Screen size up to 100″, 120 Hz and 4K resolution
The global model Xiaomi TV Max 100 is arriving as expected, with gigantic dimensions of 2235 x 103 x 1282.5 mm (the TV alone) or 2235 x 520 x 1386 mm (TV with stand). The total weight of this television is up to 63 kilograms.
The wall mount measures 843 x 400 mm. So you’ll definitely need more than one person for installation. However, the higher weight has its purpose thanks to the use of high-quality metal materials, both in the frame and on the TV stand.
Quad-core processor, Android 11, plus stereo speakers
The main attraction is the huge up to 100″ screen, which delivers 4K resolution (Ultra HD, 3840 x 2160 pixels) and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The panel supports up to 1.07 million colors (8-bit + FRC), a DCI-P3 color gamut of up to 94%, as well as a viewing angle of up to 178°.
On the performance side, there’s a quad-core processor with cores Cortex-A73, paired with a Mali-G52 MC1 graphics chip. The operating system is the latest Android TV 11, so the smart TV can also work as a hub for a smart home or a multimedia center with image streaming and mirroring via Chromecast and Miracast.
The package also includes HDR support: HDR10+, Dolby Vision, plus dual stereo speakers (15 W + 15 W), with support for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.1, as well as dual Wi-Fi 6 connection (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz), plus an HDMI port (2.1, CEC) or 2 x USB 2.0. There’s also an AV port, CI slot, Ethernet port, optical digital audio port, a 3.5 mm audio connector, and a DVB-T2/C, DVB-S2 tuner.
Inside the box you’ll find the 100-inch Xiaomi TV itself, along with a metal stand, a 360° remote control, a set of screws, a power cable with a local plug for the mains (EU Plug, 220 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz), the user manual, and a warranty card.
Price and availability of Xiaomi TV Max 100
As for the price and availability of this massive 100-inch smart TV from Xiaomi, the manufacturer has not yet provided any specific figures or dates. Unfortunately, we don’t know the price of the global model yet, but given the price tags of Chinese versions of this TV, which start at around 1200 €, the price could be in the range of 2000 – 2500 €.
Just VAT and import costs for such a huge piece of electronics will be pretty expensive. So you should expect a significant surcharge on top of the Chinese prices. Once we learn official information about pricing and exact availability, we’ll definitely let you know.
