At its Chinese conference on May 22, 2025, Xiaomi unveiled its latest electric SUV called Xiaomi YU7, bringing a combination of elegant design, revolutionary technologies, and outstanding performance.
The largest Xiaomi community in Slovakia
This is just a China premiere for now, but it’s already clear that the YU7 will be a serious competitor even for brands like Tesla or NIO.
Updated 27.6.2025: Your jaw will drop at these China prices
At the official conference on June 26, 2025, Xiaomi also released the official China prices for all three SUV versions. The base Xiaomi YU7 Standard will cost 253,500 yuan (about €30,000), the YU7 Pro version will be sold for 279,900 CNY (around €33,500), and the top-of-the-line YU7 Max with the highest power will come in at 329,900 CNY (about €39,500).
Given the equipment, build quality, specs, and the vehicle’s performance, these price tags are incredibly tempting. Unfortunately, customers outside China won’t get this car—at least not in the coming years. So we can only envy the Chinese in silence again.

Premium details and colorful variations
The design of Xiaomi YU7 is based on proportions and dynamism. The front of the vehicle has a 1:3 ratio, a 3x ratio between the wheelbase and the vehicle length, and up to 275 mm wide rear tires that emphasize the car’s sporty character. You’ll also notice the low air-drag coefficient of just 0.245 and as many as 40 aerodynamic modifications for maximum efficiency.
Xiaomi has taken care of every detail. The front headlights have a raindrop shape linked to aerodynamic channels. The rear lights feature a “halo” design and look modern and clean. The door handles are electrically retractable—automatically extend when you approach and close when you leave.
The YU7 will be available in three elegant colors: emerald green (inspired by Colombian emerald), titanium gray, and a bold lava orange. Each shade shines depending on the light angle, highlighting the vehicle’s luxurious character.
Xiaomi HyperVision: Revolutionary panoramic display
One of the biggest innovations is Xiaomi’s new HyperVision panoramic display. It’s a 1.1-meter ultra-wide curved display with a density of 108 PPD that reacts to the environment and shows only the information you need at the moment. Thanks to panoramic projection and adaptive display, it’s a true tech treat that turns the car’s interior into an intelligent space.
The display is complemented by a dual-zone light cabin with ambient lighting and a tuned audio-visual experience. Passengers can enjoy multimedia content at the highest level even on long trips.
Luxury interior for maximum comfort
The vehicle’s interior is fully upholstered with soft materials and premium surfaces. Nappa leather seats are used, with excellent shaping and support. The front seats offer a zero-gravity mode, where you can lie back with the push of a button. The rear seats are electrically adjustable up to a 135-degree tilt.

YU7, for an SUV, has an exceptionally spacious interior, and what’s more, a rear storage area of up to 678 liters plus a front „frunk“ with a capacity of 171 liters. After folding down the rear seats, it offers a direct gigantic space of up to 1758 L. This makes it ideal for long family trips as well as comfortable commuting in the city or beyond.
Top-tier performance thanks to the Xiaomi V6s Plus engine
Under the hood, a new Xiaomi V6s Plus motor hides with power up to 690 hp / 508 kW. The SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds and reaches a top speed of 253 km/h. The braking distance from 100 km/h to zero is only 33.9 meters.
Xiaomi has already learned from the mistakes it made with braking in the Xiaomi SU7 sedan, and this time you get proper four-piston fixed Brembo calipers.
The driving experience is also enhanced by premium adaptive suspension with variable air dampers that adjust to your driving style and the type of road.
Electric range that beats the competition
The Xiaomi YU7 runs on an 800V platform that enables ultra-fast charging. In the top configuration, the range reaches up to 835 km (CLTC). The Pro version with all-wheel drive can manage 770 km, putting it first among AWD SUVs.
Plus, just 15 minutes of charging is enough to get up to 620 km of range. Charging isn’t a limitation even on long routes.
Safety at the highest level
The YU7 uses a hybrid steel-aluminum construction with an extremely strong 2200 MPa Xiaomi steel that protects passengers even in the toughest impacts. The vehicle meets all C-NCAP and C-IASI crash standards.
For assisted steering, you get a comprehensive sensor suite – laser LiDAR (up to 200 m), 4D radar, and cameras with an anti-reflective ALD surface.
Advanced computing platform with AI
Autonomous features are handled by a NVIDIA Thor computing unit with up to 700 TOPS. The entire system is connected to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform for automotive deployment, known from premium smartphones. Thanks to this, the vehicle is ready for advanced automated driving even in complex situations.
The whole car is built on a new 4-v-1 electronic architecture, which reduces the number of control units and increases reliability.
