Popular smartwatches from Huami, under the Amazfit brand, specifically the Amazfit GTR and Amazfit GTS models are receiving a fairly important software update. It is currently rolling out to all users and brings an improvement in the accuracy of GPS location.
Update for Amazfit GTR and GTS
Both watch models have become very popular thanks especially to a quality OLED panel and an excellent price/performance ratio. They also offer great battery life and built-in GPS technology, making them often an autonomous wearable device without the need to connect to a charger every day.
Still, in terms of GPS location accuracy, they had a few gaps. The place the watches determined was far from the actual one, and route recommendations for the same reason were also quite impractical.
However, this issue should be resolved by the new software update to the built-in firmware from Amazfit.

Aktualizácia firmvéru prichádza s kódovým označením 1.6.7.41 pre 47 mm hodinky Amazfit GTR, s označením 0.1.0.47 pre 42 mm hodinky Amazfit GTR a 0.08.37 pre model Amazfit GTS. Aktualizácie sú aktuálne dostupné v Číne a čoskoro by sa mali dostať aj na európske verzie hodiniek.
Besides the aforementioned issue, the overall performance of the “in-house” system should also improve, addressing the known small complaints from users from the past few months.
