Such a Xiaomi power bank has never existed before: Capacity 25 000 mAh, total power up to 250 W, plus a built-in retractable 70 cm cable

Xiaomi in China has started selling the Xiaomi Power Bank Pro 25000. The capacity stayed the same as on the predecessor with 212 W output, but the new power bank can go up to 250 W. The biggest novelty is the retractable USB-C cable built right into the body. It costs 999 yuan, which is a bit under €135 in conversion.

It’s the direct successor to the HyperCharge power bank with a 212W rating. That one had a transparent cover and a futuristic look. The new Pro version is a smooth cube that feels like metal. Back in August it leaked under the name P25 and the leak source attributed it with 27 000 mAh at the time. The official figure is ultimately 25 000 mAh.

Xiaomi Power Bank Pro 25000 charges three devices at once

Besides the built-in cable, the power bank has one USB-C port and one USB-A port. Both the cable and the USB-C port support up to 140 W, while USB-A tops out at 120 W. Together it’s 250 W.

According to Xiaomi, all three ports keep the output at 100 W, so the power bank can charge a laptop, a tablet, and a phone at the same time. It supports PD 3.2, PPS, QC 3.0, and Apple 2.4 protocols, so it handles most phones and laptops. A Xiaomi 17 Pro phone charges from zero to full in about 50 minutes.

Retractable cable with a length of 70 cm

The cable retracts back into the body and is 70 cm long. This way the power bank can sit on the desk with the laptop right next to it. With the predecessor, you had to carry your own cable, and the 140 W mode worked only on one USB-C port.

The built-in cable also includes the Xiaomi power bank with 165 W. However, that one has only 10,000 mAh, so it lasts much less with a laptop.

Display, app, and 49 % in half an hour

It also charges itself at 140 W. In 30 minutes, Xiaomi says it reaches 49%. On the front there’s a display showing battery status, the output of each port, temperature, and cell status.

The app also shows more detailed charging stats. A Xiaomi Find feature was added to help you locate a lost power bank. There are two color options: dark gray and silver. Xiaomi also boasts CCC certification according to the new Chinese standard that has been in effect since year 2026.

Almost twice the price compared to the predecessor

For the power and the cable, Xiaomi asks noticeably more. The 212 W model arrived in China in autumn 2024, in the pre-preorder phase for 549 yuan. The new version for 999 yuan is almost twice as expensive.
