So far, the latest Xiaomi custom interface is MIUI on version 12. Many models have already received the update to this interface version. Now it’s the turn of Pocophone F1 and Redmi Note 9 Pro.
The latest update for Pocophone F1
Redmi Note 9 Pro is a relatively new model, while Pocophone F1 was introduced in 2018. It went on sale with the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. Later it was updated to Android 9.0 Pie and then it also received Android 10.
MIUI 12, which is coming to both of the mentioned models, is built on the Android 10 operating system. The new update arrives in a version labeled 12.0.2.0.QEJMIXM and is gradually being rolled out to all active units of the smartphone.
For a reminder, in about 1 Pocophone F2018 was probably the most hyped smartphone. It delivered a solid dose of performance powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor at an unbelievably low price. In terms of updates, it was probably one of the most frequently and fastest updated models.

Redmi Note 9 Pro is definitely going to get Android 11 too; MIUI 12 is arriving now
Redmi Note 9 Pro is this year’s popular mid-range smartphone. Its main strengths include a powerful 5020 mAh battery, a 64-megapixel camera, as well as a large 6.67″ display with FHD+ resolution.
For the Chinese version of Redmi Note 9 Pro, the MIUI 12 interface is available starting from September, while the global version is getting it only now. The update is currently rolling out to models in the Turkish market, but other European countries should follow soon.
Since Redmi Note 9 Pro is this year’s model, this definitely won’t be its last update. The latest Android 11 should arrive for this smartphone in the first quarter of next year.
According to initial information, this update was supposed to come as late as October 20, so it’s a little earlier. The device launched in May this year with Android 10 and the MIUI 11 user interface.

What about the other Redmi Note 9 models?
They should be updated to the MIUI 12 interface on October 20. But since the Pro update arrived already now, it’s likely that other devices from this series will get MIUI 12 a bit earlier too.
