The Chinese company Xiaomi has officially released its new update MIUI 12.5 Global. So far, it has been received by only some of the manufacturer’s smartphones, but other models from the brands Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO are also expected to get it.
MIUI 12.5 Global: The first smartphones have already received the update
With the first May week, we also got the first rollout phase of the global version of the MIUI 12.5 update. Despite the fact that the debut of this system in China already happened through models Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi’s strategy for the global market was a bit different and focuses mainly on cheaper mid-range devices.
The first smartphone to receive the MIUI 12.5 Global update was the Redmi Note 10S. At the moment, it is still officially being introduced for selected European markets, such as Spain. However, for some time now, this smartphone has been sold via Aliexpress.
Redmi Note 10S received its update to the global (European) MIUI 12.5 version, with the code name MIUI V12.5.5.0.RKLMIXM or V12.5.3.0.RKLEUXM. This is therefore the aforementioned first phase of distributing this global update.
During the first phase, the MIUI 12.5 Global update should also arrive on other smartphones, such as Xiaomi Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, and also Mi 11.
The second update phase
We also expect that starting in July the Chinese manufacturer will begin the second phase of the update rollout. It should be available for the following devices:
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G
- Xiaomi Mi Note 10 / Mi Note 10 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite
- Redmi Note 9T
- Redmi Note 9 Pro
- Redmi Note 9S
- Redmi Note 9
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi 9
- POCO X3 NFC
- POCO F2 Pro
Xiaomi also confirmed that, besides these devices, MIUI 12.5 will be rolled out to other models as well. These will be announced gradually as the MIUI development team works on each version. So you don’t need to worry even if your device isn’t on the list yet.
