Xiaomi isn’t resting even in the electric SUV segment. The new electric Xiaomi YU7 looks like a Ferrari, and we already have real video plus the first photos from test drives in China.
Xiaomi YU7: The upcoming electric SUV can’t hide its Ferrari inspiration
Only a few weeks have passed since the latest information leaks—this time about the Chinese manufacturer preparing its new electric vehicle. According to everything, it’s the Xiaomi YU7, which will follow the popular “form-factor” of an SUV.
A spectacular design inspired by the powerful Xiaomi SU7 sedan, arrives in a true sporty yet practical style. And while we have the first shots of the new electric SUV, it’s still only studio content from the first test drives in China. These drives were just the start of extensive vehicle testing on the streets of China.

As we can see in the published footage, Xiaomi YU7 will feature exceptionally bold sporty lines—and as the first electric SUV from this brand, we can’t deny the inspiration from the competing, and far more expensive, Ferrari Purosangue.
Based on the first leaks of the technical specs we know so far, the YU7 model will come in with 220 kW electric motor(s). The higher variant will likely offer an increase up to 288 kW, of course for an extra charge. It also won’t be missing a rich functional equipment package already known from the SU7 sedan. It will include an autonomous driving system and countless sensors for the surrounding traffic, assistants, and intelligent features linked to the HyperOS operating system.
To sum it up, Xiaomi’s SUV is aiming really high. And we still need to reveal the starting price, which should be around 33 000 euros in the conversion. Of course, the first step will be the Chinese unveiling, in mid- or late 2025. As for launch in other markets, including Europe, we’ll have to wait a bit longer.
