Design and display: In both cases 120 Hz AMOLED
At first glance, these are dimensionally similar smartphones. They want to stand out in details, though, and that’s why Redmi brings an elegant design with a matte back panel. POCO has a bold, protruding rear camera module, and the design difference can also be a specific and striking color finish: POCO Yellow. The construction of both smartphones is protected by IP 53 certification.

If we take a look at the equipment, the external dimensions are very similar as well, largely due to the comparable technical specifications. The two smartphones, even at this low price, offer a large 6.67″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In this case, the screen is truly top-tier, but you’ll need to get used to the fingerprint reader built into the side frame.
Performance: New mid-range processor Snapdragon 695 5G
Solid performance and great connectivity are the foundation of a quality mid-range smartphone. Given chip supply issues, Chinese brands have gone with a safe option, and both Redmi and POCO include an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, paired with the graphics chip Adreno 619. The difference comes down to configurations: Redmi will be available with 64 GB memory, POCO offers up to 128 GB, and it also supports dynamic RAM to increase total memory value up to 11 GB.
An integrated, modern processor made using 6 nm technology—and as the POCO brand representative said directly at the press conference—don’t let the 600 number confuse you. It’s just a number, and the smartphone delivers truly strong performance: at the level of 395 thousand points in AnTuTu for a POCO device, and 405 thousand points for a Redmi smartphone.
Camera: A standout module and the same technology
The rear camera module on POCO is really weird. The wide and bulky module only has three cameras, and the other marked spots include an LED flash and the marketing text „AI“. On the other hand, Redmi doesn’t mess around and highlights its biggest trump card — the main camera — with the protruding module.
POCO, as well as Redmi, arrive on the technical side with the same set of features. The main camera is the well-proven 108 MPx sensor (f/1.9, 1/1,52″) with PDAF technology, complemented by an 8 MPx ultra-wide-angle and a 2 MPx macro sensor. Both smartphones support 1080p video recording and have a 16 MPx front camera that also supports Full HD video, placed under the cutout in the AMOLED display.
Battery: 5000 mAh and a 33 W charger included in the box
Looking at the technical specifications, we find another important match. That’s the same thickness of both smartphones and the same capacity of the built-in battery, which is capped at 5000 mAh. Given the AMOLED display and a modern, power-efficient processor, you can expect battery life of around two working days. Plus, a fast 33 W charger will be included in both packages.
Price and availability of the two smartphones
A key difference can be the selling price of the smartphones. While POCO X4 Pro 5G goes on sale at its extreme launch prices, the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G model has already settled into a kind of standard selling price on the Chinese market among local sellers. As a result, POCO gains a huge advantage, since at the time of writing this comparison the price of this device with a 2-year warranty was hovering around amounts from €249.

Final verdict: POCO X4 Pro 5G vs Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
A big paradox of these two smartphones is that the vast majority of the key technical specifications are even identical. The POCO phone comes almost like a European variant of the original Chinese model from Redmi. However, in Europe we’re very familiar with this situation, and it’s not unusual. Marketing teams will therefore likely base their campaign mainly on design differences.
If you want to pick an affordable smartphone and you’ve set aside up to €300, we can recommend both smartphones—POCO X4 Pro 5G as well as Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G—even compared to the Chinese or international competition.
Which one of these two would you choose?
You don’t have to worry about the battery—you’ll capture quality, sharp photos with the primary 108 MPx camera, and then view them on the 120 Hz AMOLED display. However, POCO, as a young sub-brand, draws some of its benefits and plus points from official availability in Europe, but also from its unique design and the iconic yellow color that you can spot on the street from an even greater distance.
Which of these two affordable smartphones from the Xiaomi ecosystem do you like more? Do you prefer the elegant Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G? Or are you more on the side of the new POCO X4 Pro 5G, which comes in vibrant colors and is aimed at the younger generation of users? Feel free to vote in the poll below as well.
