The daughter brand of the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, the company Redmi, is also preparing a new Pro gaming laptop within its product portfolio. It should arrive with the label Redmi G Pro and will offer an Nvidia graphics chip or a powerful Ryzen processor.
Redmi G Pro: A new gaming laptop with a Ryzen processor in just a few days
During the month of July, Redmi introduced a new gaming laptop in China with the label Redmi G 2022. This updated version will be especially interesting thanks to 12th-gen Intel processors, the H series.
However, the brand is now also preparing an alternative version called Redmi G Pro (Ryzen Edition), without a year-of-release designation. It should differ especially by using the latest-generation AMD Ryzen processor.
Official presentation on 7. September
This laptop should be launched on the Chinese market in just a few days, specifically on 7 September 2022. And based on the available leak information, we know that the lineup will include a powerful processor AMD Ryzen 7 6800H as well as a graphics chip Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. You’ll also be pleased to see the DTS:X Ultra technology.
Besides these parameters, we don’t know anything more yet. Redmi hasn’t revealed the design of this gaming laptop for us yet either. However, it’s expected to be close to its Intel version, with a model year of 2022.
16″ 165 Hz display with 2.5K resolution, stereo speakers, and Wi‑Fi 6
If these assumptions are confirmed, the equipment should include a large up to 16″ screen with 2.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 165 Hz.
Also, we can look forward to a full-size backlit keyboard, 2 x 2 W stereo speakers, 720p HD webcam, or exemplary connectivity. It will be taken care of by support for Thunderbolt 4, Mini Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.1, Wi‑Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2 technology.
Just like other Redmi gaming pieces, this model will most likely remain on sale exclusively in the Chinese market. If you’re interested, you’ll have to wait for its official presentation and then for the offer from verified international sellers.
