So this is Xiaomi’s first global laptop in about three years. In 2019, they brought the Mi Notebook Air 13.3 to global markets, which wasn’t exactly a big success, but this time they want to try it with a more affordable model.

RedmiBook 15: The global version of a notebook with an 11th-gen Intel Core processor
Xiaomi, as the parent brand, is already bringing its first affordable RedmiBook to the global market. This is a truly interesting device, considering there’s no Chinese counterpart. So it’s a new product that was developed and planned specifically for its global version. Even though we don’t know its availability yet, this product has really caught our attention.
The laptop features a quality metal build with a thickness of 19.9 millimeters. The total weight doesn’t exceed 1.8 kilograms, so frequent carrying in a backpack won’t be an issue. You’ll also get a large trackpad for comfortable work (126 x 82.6 mm) and even stereo speakers (4 W). Here’s the laptop’s port selection:
- 1 x HDMI 1.4
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1
- 1 x USB 2.0
- Ethernet (RJ45) port
- Optical audio port
- 3,5 mm audio jack
- SD card slot
Another positive point we have to highlight is the display. It has a 15.6″, Full HD panel with an anti-glare layer, so you can enjoy the image without glare. There’s also DC Dimming technology, and the maximum brightness reaches 220 nits.
Performance is handled by an integrated 11th-gen Intel Core processor. Depending on the configuration, this will be Intel Core i3-1115G4 (Intel Iris UHD) or Intel Core i5-11300H (Intel Iris Xe). The CPU is paired with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and either a 256 / 512 GB internal SSD.
On the software side, you’ll get the Windows 11 Home operating system in the local version, depending on the region. The package also includes a front HD (720p) camera. The 46 Wh battery should deliver up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. The new RedmiBook 15 will support fast charging up to 65 W, so you can charge 50% of the battery in just 33 minutes.
Price and availability of the new laptop
The globally branded RedmiBook 15 is also expected to be sold in Europe, including the Slovak and Czech markets. However, we still don’t know the official retail price or the sales start date. In the editorial team, we expect this product to be available within the coming weeks.
