Recently we informed in our article about the arrival of a new laptop from Redmi. Besides that, we also learned more information about Intel’s Tiger Lake H35 processor series, which the RedmiBook Pro 15 will be equipped with.
RedmiBook Pro 15 will offer Intel and AMD variants
Along with the announcement of Intel’s new processors in the form of Tiger Lake H35, it turned out that Redmi is working on something. It’s the upcoming RedmiBook Pro 15 laptop, which will also be paired with the RedmiBook Pro 15S model.
These should be premium and very powerful laptops not only for gaming, but also for work in demanding applications. We could already see that there will be enough performance in the latest performance tests that appeared on the well-known portal Geekbench.
The RedmiBook Pro 15 will already come with 11th-generation Intel processors. You’ll be able to choose the i5 version, specifically the i5-11300H model. If that by chance still isn’t enough for you, you can go for the more powerful variant. That one features an i7 processor, specifically the i7-11370H model.
The variant equipped with the i5-11300H processor scored 1 545 points in the Geekbench performance test for single-core performance and 4 902 points using multiple cores.
The more powerful model with i7-11370H reached 1 447 points for single-core performance and 4 885 points when using multiple cores.
Both models come with the same amount of RAM memory—namely 16 GB. You’ll also find the preinstalled operating system Windows 10.
AMD processors were not forgotten either
The RedmiBook Pro 15S might be a bit more interesting. The laptop starts with 8 GB of RAM, and with the highest configuration it goes up to 16 GB.
As for the actual processors, you can choose from the Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 models. For Ryzen 5, you can pick whether we want a configuration with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM. Ryzen 7 has only one fixed configuration, offering 16 GB of RAM.
From the pictures, we can see that the Ryzen 5 variant with 8 GB of RAM delivers practically identical performance to the 16 GB variant, with differences that are directly not noticeable. Paradoxically, the model with the smaller RAM capacity performs better in tests.
The Ryzen 7 model delivers slightly worse results for single-core performance, but again the difference is only minimal. As for multi-core performance, that’s where performance jumped significantly—by more than 1 000 points.
The laptop is fitted with a Radeon Graphics graphics card, but we don’t have any more detailed information about it yet. Given that Redmi is slowly but surely teasing new information about the upcoming RedmiBook Pro models, and at the same time various performance tests are appearing online, we can assume they’ll be unveiled soon.
