Quick summary

  • Xiaomi 18 Pro in Europe is said to start at 1 449 €
  • Pro Max only with 512 GB for 1 849 €
  • Batteries are smaller by 1,000 and 1,450 mAh than in China
  • EU labels are already in place—the launch is near

Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are set to arrive in Europe, but they won’t be cheap. According to the YTechB website, the smaller model will cost from €1,449 and the larger Pro Max €1,849. On top of that, they’ll come with European versions featuring smaller batteries than the Chinese ones. However, the battery capacities aren’t from the leak—they’re listed in the EU energy label registry.

Xiaomi 18 Pro from 1 449 €, Pro Max only in one version

According to YTechB, Xiaomi 18 Pro will come in two versions, both with 12 GB of RAM. The 256 GB storage version is said to cost 1,449 €, and the 512 GB model 1,649 €. There will be four color options: black, white, Cosmic Blue, and Velvet Red. The pink one they have in China likely won’t arrive in Europe.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to be sold only with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage for 1,849 €. According to GSMArena, it will cost exactly the same as the iPhone 18 Pro Max with the same storage. Notebookcheck cites an informant, Sudhanshu Ambhore, and also mentions a Pro Max with 256 GB for 1,649 €. YTechB and GSMArena don’t mention this variant, so it remains unclear whether it will arrive.

Velvet Red looks different from the red transparent edition Xiaomi sells in China. The global version has a different shade, and the back isn’t transparent. A global render of Cosmic Blue is missing for now—Notebookcheck showed it only in a Chinese shot.

In China, Xiaomi 18 Pro will be more than 600 € cheaper

At home in China, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is much cheaper. There, the 18 Pro with 12 GB and 256 GB costs 5,999 yuan, which is under €800. The European version is supposed to be €650 more expensive. The Pro Max with 512 GB costs 7,999 yuan in China, which is under €1,070. In Europe, it’s expected to be priced at 1,849 €. Frandroid summed it up by saying Europeans will pay about 75–80% more and get fewer battery cells.

The Chinese price is before our VAT. Even if you add Slovakia’s 23%, the smaller model would still come out under €1,000 and the Pro Max under €1,320. So the difference can’t be explained by tax alone. YTechB points to the memory chips, which got more expensive over the last year. Chinese versions are available to buy right now. What works on them and what doesn’t is in the launch article. The warranty for the Chinese version is valid only in China, and claims go through the seller.

What do you think about the leaked European prices for Xiaomi 18 Pro?

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra with 16 GB and 512 GB started in Europe at 1,499 €. The new 18 Pro is supposed to be only €50 cheaper than last year’s top model. The Pro Max would be €350 more expensive with the same storage and less RAM. The 17 Pro line wasn’t officially sold outside China, so the 18 Pro doesn’t have a direct predecessor in Europe.

Battery smaller by 1 000 and 1 450 mAh

The Chinese Xiaomi 18 Pro has a 7,000 mAh battery; the European version will get 6,000 mAh. For Pro Max, capacity drops from 8,500 to 7,050 mAh. The smaller model loses 14% of its capacity, the larger one 17%. We already wrote about the reduced batteries of the global versions in the same day of the launch, based on the firmware files.

The smaller European 18 Pro will charge with a 90 W cable instead of 100 W. Pro Max will keep 100 W. Wireless charging stays the same on both at 50 W. Xiaomi, according to Frandroid, explains the smaller batteries with stricter rules in Europe and the USA. Large lithium cells are there more difficult to certify and transport.

What the EU energy labels reveal

Starting in June 2025, every phone sold in the EU must have an entry in the EPREL registry. On the labels published by Notebookcheck, the codes are 2609BPN61G and 2611FPNFAG. The same codes were also present for global models that recently showed up in Geekbench. According to the label, Xiaomi 18 Pro should last up to 66 h 30 min on a single charge, and Pro Max 70 h 40 min. The time comes from the standardized EU test—under normal use, it will be different.

Both phones have energy class A, IP68 rating, class B for drop resistance, and C for repairability. The battery must retain at least 1 % capacity after 000 80 charges; the EU requires 800 cycles. In public EPREL searches, the entries were 20. As a result, we’re taking the information from the labels.

In the registry, there’s a minimum capacity. Xiaomi, in its marketing, states the typical one, which is slightly higher. The European 17 Ultra has 5 830 mAh in EPREL and is sold as a model with 6 000 mAh. For the 18 Pro, you can expect 6 100 to 6 200 mAh in the official specs, and for Pro Max around 7 200 mAh. It still won’t really match the Chinese versions.

When they’ll arrive in Europe

Xiaomi confirmed that the 18 Pro lineup will launch outside China later this year. Notebookcheck mentions December, but the company hasn’t confirmed the exact date or prices. The prices are only from leaks, not from an official document like the battery capacity. They may still change before the launch. You can compare our estimate from before launch in the older article. We also covered the back display features in a separate article.
