At the end of March this year, Xiaomi introduced the world to the long-awaited new laptop generation called Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 15. Along with the 15″ display version, a model with a 14″ screen diagonal was also unveiled.
Both versions were launched on the market with Intel processors; specifically, these are the i5 and i7 processors from the latest 11th generation. As is typical for the Chinese giant, variants with AMD processors also won’t be missing—they’ll be unveiled soon.
The unveiling is on 24 May
Xiaomi recently released posters online that point to the exact announcement date for the new versions of the Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 15 and RedmiBook Pro with AMD Ryzen 5000 processors. This combo could be very interesting for customers, thanks in part to AMD’s steady progress.
The event will take place in China on May 24, 2021 at 14:00 local time, and the laptop should go on sale in early June. We’ll, of course, keep you updated on all news related to this much-anticipated laptop.
We’ve got plenty to look forward to
If this new release is at least as high quality as the models with Intel processors, then we definitely have something to look forward to. The main draw is the front OLED panel with 3.5 K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The recently unveiled Mi Laptop Pro 15 also offers up to 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB internal storage drive. Naturally, there are also three USB Type-C ports, with one of them standing out for its support for Thunderbolt 4, a 3.5 mm jack, and a large 66 Wh battery.
The design of this laptop doesn’t hide the fact that it takes inspiration from an American giant—which, in the end, is nothing bad. The matte aluminum build looks minimalist and elegant, and many people will definitely appreciate it. Read more about Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 15 and 14 at this link.
