This week was packed with Xiaomi updates. The company introduced several new products to the global market and unveiled the phone Xiaomi Mi 9T. Huami, in a merger with Xiaomi, also launched the bracelet Mi Band 4 and Amazfit Watch 2.
The Mijia sub-brand brought a whole range of different products in the smart home category as well. This week, however, it’s not over yet and they’re coming with another product.
The first baking oven directly from Xiaomi
But Xiaomi doesn’t stop and, under the Mijia brand, is bringing its first own electric baking and food-prep oven to the market. And as we’re used to with Xiaomi, it’s a quality product with tons of features for an excellent price.
The Xiaomi Mijia oven has a 32 L capacity, which in China is enough for food capacity for 1 to 6 people. According to the manufacturer, you can prepare, for example, 30 pastries, 3 pizzas, a 6-inch cake, or even 9 steaks in it at once.
Many control options
On the inside, the oven has three sets of rails, so you can place up to three baking trays or racks in it. The temperature can be set in the range from 70 to 230°C. The advantage is that the top and bottom heating have separate controls, so different temperatures can be set in different parts of the oven as needed. Of course, it also includes a timer.
The Xiaomi Mijia oven also has a constant temperature maintenance function at 40°C. You can use it, for example, for fermenting food or also for thawing or drying.
You can also place a rotisserie in the oven, which during cooking rotates around its axis by 360°. Thanks to this feature, you’ll get a crisply baked larger piece of meat, such as a lamb leg or even a whole chicken.
In addition, the oven has a built-in circulation fan. It allows heat to flow through the cabinet body for even heating.
The device has a rated power of 1600 W. The dimensions are 507 x 382 x 308 mm and the net weight is 6.7 kg. The Xiaomi Mijia baking oven goes on sale in China starting from 16.06.2019 for 299 yuan, which comes out to an incredible 38 € / 972 CZK.
