Our favorite Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is bringing a new addition to its portfolio in the form of stylish sunglasses. They are sold through the Xiaomi YouPin, platform under the partner brand Xiaomi Pilota, and the set also includes UV400 protection and a very thin frame.

Even before heading out to vacation beaches, the company Xiaomi has something new for us: affordable sunglasses Xiaomi Pilota. This trendy but also functional accessory from the brand comes with a minimalist design of the well-known “pilot” look and a very thin frame around the lenses themselves.
Despite the thin profile, these glasses are quite durable, mainly thanks to the use of a lightweight, high-quality metal frame made of 304 stainless steel. The brand wants to offer a product that combines comfort when worn with durability when carried around. There are also soft parts that are gentle on the skin behind your ear.
A big advantage is the nylon lens that’s used. The sunglasses are equipped with a premium nylon polarized lens from a German supplier.
The lenses have several special light refraction features, and also enhanced protection (spec UV400), which will help protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet radiation a bit more effectively compared to regular sunglasses.
Integrated nylon lenses are also coated on the surface with a thin, transparent film. Thanks to this, this model is more resistant to sweat, fingerprints, grease, oil stains, and also other similar unwanted viscous liquids.
Price & availability of the new product
Sunglasses named Xiaomi Pilota go on sale in two color options: black and blue. Sales are starting for now only on the domestic, Chinese market, and their official selling price is 199 Chinese yuan. That’s approximately 29 € / 31 USD. We don’t have any further information yet about possible global availability.
