Xiaomi SU7 as the first electric car from this Chinese company drew attention in neighboring Czechia. It was displayed in multiple versions, including a look into the interior, in the capital Prague.

Xiaomi SU7: A detailed look from the Prague exhibition

This five-door sedan ended up in Prague for the very first time. The last time we could see an electric car was at the MWC 2024 exhibition in Barcelona, so roughly about a year ago. But back to Prague, where the electric car really impressed at first glance. The exterior and interior video was prepared by the Fdrive.cz portal.

How does FDrive rate the Xiaomi SU7 electric car? You can’t deny its inspiration from the German automaker Porsche. And that applies to both the front LED headlights and the sedan’s very design. The vehicle also offers LiDAR sensors for autonomous driving. It has a front trunk, the so-called “frunk”, with an exceptional capacity of 100 liters—just like the rear, full-size trunk with a capacity of 500 liters.

The displayed SU7 Max model promises power of 495 kW, a 101 kWh battery, and a maximum range of up to 800 kilometers under the Chinese CLTC standard. When converted to the European WLTP standards, we should be looking at about around 600 kilometers. It also has all-wheel drive, but if needed, customers can choose a base version with single-axle drive.

Xiaomi also prepared a special Xiaomi SU7 Ultra version for its fans—an electric car built even for race tracks. And at the famous Nürburgring race circuit, it also managed to beat the aforementioned electric Porsche Taycan with its recorded time.

In the video, we can see plenty of praise for the interior materials, as well as high-quality seats with side bolstering. The steering wheel is also there, again inspired by the Porsche model, along with a panoramic roof and a matte control panel with a touchscreen display. Additionally, under the display there’s an optional panel of physical buttons for controlling the air conditioning or heating.

The Chinese brand also didn’t hold back in the rear seats. Softened materials are complemented by ambient lighting, along with plenty of space under the sloping headliner. The vehicle offers dimensions of 4997 x 1963 x 1455 mm and a weight of 1980 kg.

Price and availability of Xiaomi’s electric car in Europe

What’s surprising is the selling price of Xiaomi SU7. In China, it started at the equivalent of about €29,900, but before factoring in import taxes and customs duty. After adding these items, though—in a slightly higher trim level and with all-wheel drive in the case of SU7 Max—we get to a level of vehicles like the Mercedes-Benz EQE or the BMW i5.

We don’t yet know when Xiaomi’s Xiaomi SU7 electric car will go on sale in Europe. However, based on information known behind the scenes, it seems Xiaomi plans to enter the European market for electric cars already next year, meaning 2026. Of course, this depends on several conditions, such as the required certifications and building a sales and service network.
