Xiaomi SU7 Ultra: Powerful electric car in a new color combination

Xiaomi Motors, behind the entire SU7 electric car lineup, is bringing a second color combination for the much-anticipated and top-tier Xiaomi SU7 Ultra – outer space gray. The new color is truly very elegant and is the opposite of the vibrant yellow we got after the premiere.

A fresh variant of outer space gray comes with a glossy silver paint, featuring bright tones. Leaked videos and photos that showcase the SU7 Ultra model in this new color emphasize its elegant design and futuristic look. Xiaomi also thinks about contrast elements, so you can look forward to, for example, noticeably yellow interior details like the seat belts and more.

The Chinese manufacturer confirmed that mass production, meaning serial production of the flagship model Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, will be launched at the end of this month. As for the exterior, it will offer up to five color options in total. That makes us even more curious about what comes after the vibrant yellow and outer space gray.

According to previous reports from Xiaomi, it opened small order capacities for the SU7 Ultra as early as October 29, 2024. The price of such a pre-order was set at 814 900 Chinese yuan (roughly €107k) with a refundable deposit of 10 000 Chinese yuan (about €1300), which will be returned as soon as the official vehicle sales start.

Rising demand for the Ultra vehicle from the Chinese brand

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric car is causing a stir in the automotive industry, with every new variant and release of a new color further boosting its popularity.

The new version in space gray will likely attract a different range of potential customers again—people who don’t care for flashy, bright luxury in an impossible-to-miss yellow. Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is therefore also a serious challenge for established luxury electric vehicle brands.
