POCO’s daughter brand, which only recently became independent from the parent Xiaomi, is preparing new devices for its portfolio. Among them is also the upcoming smartphone POCO X2, which has appeared in new photos and even in a video.

The materials point to the used gaming processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G.

Gaming processor Snapdragon 730G

From leaked information, we know that the POCO X2 model could offer a price of around 18 999 Indian rupees at its launch, which in conversion is approximately 241 euros / 6076 Kč.

At its core, it should be the model Redmi K30 4G, which was introduced on the Chinese market during December / December 2019.

This time, under the new and independent POCO brand, it will bring a mid-to-upper mid-range gaming processor, specifically the model Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G. The used processor only underlines the fact that it will be a “rebranding” of the original Redmi smartphone.

A live photo shows a benchmark test and a processor labeled Qualcomm Snapdragon SM7150, which is precisely the code name of the aforementioned 730G model. The photos also clearly show the narrow bezels around the display and the wide cut-out for the pair of front cameras—exactly like the spec of the Redmi K30 4G.

The features should also not miss out on a large 4500 mAh battery with fast up to 27 W charging. As revealed by a post on Twitter, in 20 minutes the battery can be charged to more than 30%.

A few days ago, information about a truly smooth 120 Hz display with dimensions of 6.67″ was also published, as well as the presence of an NFC chip. The official launch of POCO X2 is scheduled for February 4 / February 2020.
