We ordered the global version of Xiaomi 14 from China and saved more than 160 €. Great delivery speed

It’s already almost 3 years since we launched the official collaboration with the shopping portal Gshopper. We were the first in Slovakia to bring this web’s product offer, and we helped them enter the Slovak market.

Gshopper is currently among the most reliable sellers, and for example it also offers Xiaomi products in official global versions with a 2-year warranty (valid for smartphones). Most recently, in December 2023, we tested orders from the Gshopper store on Xiaomi 13T Pro and Xiaomi Box S 2nd Gen. Now we decided to order the global Xiaomi 14—and this is how it turned out.

No 30-day, no 15-day waiting for a parcel from China

Great news: delivery from China via Gshopper is still reliably customs-free. And even very fast. We ordered the flagship for year 2024, Xiaomi 14, on 16. March 2024. Just two days later, on 18. March, we received an email confirming the shipment, including the tracking number from the carrier YunExpress.

The delivery went very smoothly, and the 17track tracking system showed regular updates on the parcel’s route. Exactly 13 calendar days later, an SPS courier called us to say they had a package from Gshopper for us. Of course, we didn’t pay any extra fees, and we didn’t have to deal with customs clearance either. The seller handled all of this for us.

We’re starting testing

Of course, we couldn’t resist and immediately unboxed the new “fourteen”. The smartphone arrived in a neat white color, and combined with the glossy silver frame and really thin bezels around the display, its design is exceptionally attractive.

The moment you pick up the phone, you can feel that Xiaomi truly puts effort into processing its most premium smartphones. The premium in-hand feel is enhanced by the high-quality glass on the back, as well as the sharper edges of the frame.

Quick recap of the key specs of the Xiaomi 14 model. It’s still the most compact smartphone in the manufacturer’s lineup—when it comes to the news, too. Up front, there’s a 6.36″ AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and brightness up to 3000 nits.

On the performance side, the most powerful Snapdargon 8 Gen 3 processor shouldn’t be missing, paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM memory. Photography lovers will also be taken care of, because Xiaomi 14 is equipped with a main 50 MPx Light Fusion 900 sensor that Xiaomi developed directly in collaboration with Leica.

The photo setup is completed by a Leica 75mm telephoto lens and a Leica wide-angle lens. Power for the whole hardware comes from a 4610 mAh battery supporting 90 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging. Xiaomi finally worked on a modern USB C 3.2 Gen 1 connector for faster file transfers.

Naturally, there’s 5G connectivity, WiFi 7 standard support, NFC for contactless payments, stereo speakers, an impressive IP68 certification, and the latest HyperOS is also included.

Xiaomi 14 at the best price on the market—right through Gshopper

Buying on AliExpress for the first time?

This process is done through the AliExpress mobile app, where most people shop. Two things matter: don’t use Buy now and enter the coupon only in the order summary in the Promo code field. After you click Pay now, you can’t add it anymore.

1. Copy the code and click GET THE DISCOUNTIn our article, copy the coupon and click the button GET THE DISCOUNT. The link will take you directly to the product in the AliExpress app.
2. Use Add to cart, not Buy nowOn the product card, scroll down and click Add to cart. Don’t use the Buy now button—this skips the cart, so later you won’t have a place to enter the coupon. Before that, make sure the variant is correct: color, version, and whether it ships from an EU warehouse.
3. Continue to Checkout via the cartA pop-up will appear: Added to cart!—tap Check it out. If it disappeared, open the cart using the icon in the bottom-right corner. In the cart, check the product and quantity, then tap the red Checkout button. Only the items marked with the red circle are included.
4. Fill in your address and card, then look for Promo codeIn the order summary, first enter the delivery address and payment card at the top. Below that, there’s a line Promo code — expand it with the arrow on the right.

   

5. Paste the code and confirm ApplyIn the field Promo code paste the copied code and click the black Apply. The code is case-sensitive and must not contain spaces.

   

6. Check your savings and payIn the section Summary expand the line Saved — you’ll see the applied coupon there as AliExpress coupons/codes. Only when Total is really lower, click Pay now.

   

Apply the discount again in the order summary. After you click Pay now, you can’t add a coupon anymore. If Apply shows an error, the code has either expired, doesn’t apply to your item, or your order doesn’t meet the minimum amount.

Store Coupon also belongs in the same field. — a coupon from the seller itself, which isn’t always available and changes day to day. It can’t be combined with an AliExpress coupon, so try both and go with the one that gives you more. Coins are added automatically.
